I am seeking a response from a trained grief therapist. My family found out about the murders of our daughter and two grandchildren when an attorney blurted it out in court. The murderer (the attorney's client) was on trial for sexual abuse. We, the family, were waiting for the trial to resume when the murderer's attorney blurted out the deaths to us in open court. The attorney didn't tell the prosecutor or judge, just us, and then kept on walking, refusing to answer our questions. The murderer killed his wife and children (our daughter and grandchildren) and then turned the gun on himself. It was as if we were devastated twice. We have yet to receive an apology from the attorney. I believe the callous way in which the news was delivered is hampering our healing. Am I right? It's been 8 months now....

we can do to help children in other countries while we have children here in the US that are going to bed hungry, abused, or don't even have a bed to sleep in. I'm sorry, but the governments in these supposed 3rd world countries need to quit living like kings while children and families are starving and dying from disease. We need to take care of our own children first.

I have on and off again heard about spanking children in the United States becomming illegal. Although I have never had to spank, I am still curious if any states have made it illegal yet and where the law lies.

Please respond with facts or personal experience only...we've all heard about stories where your neighbors-boyfriends-cousin's baby momma went to jail for spanking her child, but I do find that hard to believe that someone would go to jail for a loving and correctly given spanking that resulted in no permanant injury.

Where I am not against spanking, I believe the strongest form of discipline is teaching by example, with love. I find too often that the words discipline and punishment are used interchangeably although they mean two different things.

Thank you and I appreciate your input.

i know we can not descriminate with a culture or group of people but i think we need to do something to stop them they plan to control the all world and they think if they control usa they will control the world.
all muslim are no same but i haven't see any group of them to step up and point to any of the extremist they keeped quiet because they consider all brother and they don't care about any body else why should we care about them and allow them to come here and regroup quietly and them they will come out and try to implement they religion and law as they are trying in uk,australia and other country we need to stop them now before is too late.
What can we do????????

I find it interesting that people are shocked with some slurs, but seem to feel others are okay.

Is a "white trash party" any more okay than the "ghetto party" had at that college in Texas on MLK Day? It all seem very wrong to me.

The Governor in Texas has made it a law that ALL 11 year old girls get the HPV vacine. I cannot believe that parents are not up in arms about this. The government is suppose to be "for the people and by the people." Why is it that no one is saying anything about this? The drug is made by Merck and they just happen to donate several thousand dollars to Governor Perry's campaign and now it is law that every female in Texas is required to get this vacine. So, what's next? If the government thinks it's "right" for us to have a "chip" in our right hand that will hold all our personal, finanical and medical records and we are required by law to have it installed will we say anything then or just go along with it? We are in a time when "science" or "government" or "anyone with a few letters or numbers after their name" says it then it must be right.
So what do you think this world is coming too?
