Doesn't Texas have the right to refuse immunizations for children based on health reasons or religious freedoms?
I believe most states do and it will be interesting to see what happens.
Michigan will enact this same b.s. law soon. We have an out though and I am going to use it for my daughter.
Though my reasons have to do with the safety of drugs placed on the market in this country. Come on, have there just been so many bad effects that we no longer care? I refuse to take a drug unless it has been on the market for more than 5 years. And I would prefer drugs that have been available for more than 20.
This drug (Guardisil, btw) has not had enough studies of the long term effects on the reproductive systems of the girls who receive the shot. What happens if 20 years from now these girls start birthing children with 3 eyes? My daughter is not going to be a guinea pig for our government's personal pocket.
And if FORCED to do it, and something bad happened, I would sue every single person who enacted the law.
One more instance of big corporations buying the law. We have got to start rebelling against our mommy & daddy, thieving, goverment. Before it's too late and the government workers outnumber the rest of us.

Are you also against booster shots and other innaculations that children get before going to public school? If you don't want to follow the rules, then you should not reap the benefits of any public program.

This has been going on forever. It's all about big business and politicians who are beholding to them for the funding they provide to get them elected into office. The key here is WE elect them and they have a responsibility to the voters not just the ones who line their pockets. If we don't demand change it doesn't happen, plain & simple.

Loss of individual and civil rights to total dictatorship. What our forefathers fought for, this administration has given away. And if you disagree with the rules, you're labeled as "Unamerican," A sad and dangerous direction.

It stops girls/women from getting cancer. How is that a bad thing? It's like getting a vaccine shot for measles only this will not only save them from getting sick it will save them from dying from cancer.

parents can object to it for religous or philisophical beliefs. And they're going to have sex eventually, so they should get it early.
