What can I do? This guy lies through his teeth claiming that I threaten him, peep at his child and make him uncomfortable to cross the front of the house and assorted other lies. This guy has been harrassing me and my wife for years but we've pretty much put up with this psycho's tirades to keep the peace and be good neighbors to our other neighbors. What can we do?

renting a house on the housing voucher program they are paying the entire monthly rent. landlord raises the rent thinking that the housing authority would pay the full amount. housing authority decides they are not going to pay the increase. they tell the tenant who is on maternity leave and even when working income is not sufficient, that they must pay the difference of the increase. because a lease was signed the tenant cannot move with out written authorization from the landlord or they will lose the voucher landlord refuses this and also refuses to lower rent to previous amount. both the housing authority and landlord know that there is no income coming into the household. Should the landlord have a reasonable expectation of receiving rent from the tenant under the circumstances inorder to hold them to the lease.

Why not let a cop break down any door or look anywhere, and pay a BIG price if they are wrong?
I wonder if a cop that breaks down the wrong door would automatically face huge fines or such, would not be a better cop?
I would love to allow them to go where it is known that things are happening and clean it up without the waste of energy and the time (which allows criminal to escape) or warrants and such.
AS LONG as these guys would have to pay a very high price for causing, even the slightest unwarranted damage!
search your car for no reason and find drugs or weapons or a kidnapped girl? off to jail no problem
find nothing? the cop pays you $150 out of his own pocket!
would this make cops plant stuff?
yes but only the cops that do that anyway!

I could be wrong, but what do you think?
and please no name calling. all of your ideas are not gold either, you know!

did you do it?
I take the fifth!
It is on TV, in movies all the time.
it is a yes or no question and the only real reason not to answer is because the answer is:
yes!
But should criminals be allowed this?
an innocent man cannot answer yes.
if guilty were not allowed to 'not self-incriminate' would not our system be better off. you can have your lawyer from the get go. and all of your conversations will be video taped for evidence.
an innocent man will easily be ble to talk openly with his lawyer and a guilty one would be in deep, youknowwhat, if he did!
an innocent man would be able to therefore mount a reaonable defense.
If a guilty man could not help his lawyer and therefore be convicted, it seems better, as law's goal IS to convict the guilty!
I understand the reason so that they cannot 'beat it out of you' and you confess just to save your a$$ at that moment, but that happens anyway.
why not make the cops who do something like that pay the price along with this new way

i am confident, that the founding fathers had no reason to see nor any way to guess of the advances in technology and therefore built the trial by jury system that we use.
why, with all of the video surveilence around and absolute proof of guilt (on occasion), like DNA, can we just not skip the trial?
I realize that this could not be in every case and often it would be business as usual, but sometimes it is really unneeded. don't you think so? or do you disagree.
please do not make up your own examples and argue that that would be a case against it, I already gave that often this option would not be taken, nor should it be, but sometimes, it might be.

I wanted to contact him somehow and let him know I haven't forgotten him but I don't know how. I called the local prison and asked them if they allow letters or visits, they said no. Does that make sense? I won't give up, I don't want him to think I've forgoten him. How can i get in touch with him? Please help!

I'm trying to understand why and how people would actually WANT to give terrorists the same rights as Americans. Yes I understand we should still value the idea of trialing anyone in a civilized manner, but these are terrorists. They don't desire peace. So why should we give them the chance of walking the streets again?

In Little Rock, Arkansas it is illegal to walk your cow down Main Street after 1pm on Sundays. It is legal for a man to beat his wife as long as he doesn't do it more than once a month. Also, if a man and woman flirt with each other on the streets, they can both be jailed for 30 days.

Back in November (Of 2005), a good friend left her Quarter/Arabian horse at my home to board. She has not contacted us since. I know posession is 9/10ths of the law, but is there a law that her horse can legally stay at my home (With no contact at all, or money from her, I have not even recieved a letter or a phone call) before it becomes my property and no longer hers? I have tried to contact her to no avail. I get either her answering machine or she answers and asks me to call her back at another time, because she is busy. When I do, I get the same two responses. So, really now. Is there a law that her horse can legally become mine without me purchasing it? She's basically abanoned him here. I give him the love and affection he needs

I used to say we need to do away with the chair and use bleachers! They can seat much more criminals then a single chair! But I've since changed my opinion... Let’s revert back to the dark ages and just chop off their heads!!! What you molested an inocent child? OFF WITH HIS HEAD! What you beat your wife? OFF WITH HIS HEAD? What you stole a car? OFF WITH HIS HEAD! Oh sorry you're a woman, OFF WITH HER HEAD! And you know, for the really serious crimes we could leave the blade dull so it will take a few whacks before the head is completely off! What do you say to that?

I was shopping the other day at a clothing store in El Paso TX. I went to the dressing room to try on some clothes and they told me I had to pay $1 to use the dressing room. At first I was like 'Oh, you mean a deposit' The salesman said, No, its a dollar to use the dressing room. I gave him the clothes and left.

Is it legal to charge to use a dressing room? I know in some businesses they won't let you use the bathroom unless you are a patron. But, not pay a fee. And yeah, it was only a dollar....but come on. It was the principle.....you know.
