I am a 30-something year old woman with a college education who was convicted of a felony drug charge four years ago. I have never been violent and have never posed a danger to other people around me. It is almost impossible to find a large corporate-run apartment complex to lease a unit to me. Are there any companies/agencies who can allow leasing to felons, and if so under what circumstances? Are these companies leagally obligated to deny me? Who makes the rules? Is there a state-level forum in which I can take issue with this? What about locally? All I want is a place to live!

The chinese shamelessly pick up western designs of anything from pens to trains to cars and planes and copy it right down to the last screw. The quality is pathetic, the finishing is bad and yet we say the Chinese are the most effecient manufacturers in the world - is it right to say that ?

Theses letters request to sign p a petition to senators or goverment authorities. Can I, as legal alien, sign u these support letters? Can I get in trouble if I sign these letters if I am not a citizen?

and ignores when other girls go missing or murdered. Case and point...In Clemson a rich white girl was murdered...the local news stations would interrupt programming to give details of the case...a day later a black girl ...college girl...was murdered and hardly any coverage at all. What`s up with the lopsided coverage?

The government fails to keep so many creeps behind bars and then has the audacity to tell us women that we can't carry mace around for the sole purpose of self defense. I think we all have the right to go for a peaceful walk without fear of being stabbed or raped. And what perplexes me is that we're allowed to carry bear spray in bear country, but not allowed to carry mace in predatory lunatic country, which can be just about anywhere, even in the most tranquil of suburbs.

I am a cashier at a retail store in Ohio (the kind where everything is just $1) and the District manager has now informed us that we have to have our purses searched every night and if we do not want to have them searched we are not to bring them into the store. I carry personal things in my purse that I need along with medication that I may need in a hurry ( for severe asthma attacks) and I wouldn't like my things gone through on a nightly basis. We have a locker area where I lock my purse up (with a lock I paid for) when I get in and then only remove it when on break or leaving. I work in the front of the store and the locker area is in the rear of the store. Male employees have not been asked to turn out their pockets, is this fair or legal?

What ever happened to 'rights to privacy'? Is it possible to strike a balance between a government-sponsored 'spying' to fight terror and to maintain civil liberties like a citizen's rights to privacy?
