Yes. In fact, it is morally wrong to have an attitude that permits one to believe that murder and aggression are acceptable. The "ruthlessness" of gang members is dependent on the point of view of the one speaking. That gang member may just believe that s/he is also doing the world a favor by spilling the blood of the one asking the question!

Whenever an individual believes and acts on the belief that they, themselves, have the right to determine who lives and who dies, they are wrong. NO individual has that much wisdom. That is why we have a trial by jury with judges presiding. There is wisdom in the counsel of many, and there is security in having a "system" of justice. Obviously, its not perfect, but its better than each individual taking justice into their own hands.

One does have the right to defend one's own life if it is being directly and immediately challenged. However, to be morally pure, one must make sure that they haven't put themselves in the way of danger and accepted the possibility of having to defend themselves to the death, as in joining a gang and crusing the streets looking for a fight, displaying an attitude that welcomes conflict.

You people are nuts. Take some responsibility for your own safety. Killing is not morally or spiritually wrong. If someone is trying to take your life (and anyone in your presence for the matter) you have an moral obligation to stop it. Most states and our founding fathers believe this since it is written in most codes that it is justifiable to take a life if your in imminent danger. You also have the right to save other innocent people.

on the religious side . God expects you not to take revenge but that does not mean you dont have to protect your life. There is a time for everything even killing.

Killing is morally and spiritually wrong. Let the police do their job and apprehend those gangs, bring them in court and send them in jail. What for, we are paying our taxes? Besides, we have a criminal justice system. Best thing you can do is to get away from those gangs to avoid getting caught in the crossfire. Stay safe and sound, Bro.

Davey Finch:

Killing anything is senseless and unnecessary?

A guy breaks into your room and stabs your wife, and is about to stab your daughter. You have a gun under your pillow. Do you perhaps send him a polite cease and desist letter? Call your congressman? Set yourself on fire in political protest? Whine like a baby?

Or do you aim for the head and hope to God he burns in hell?

i beleive it is. by doing that we become as bad as the people in gangs who kill. it may seem that they get away with the killings but God says ' leave room for me to take revenge'.we all have to answer to God for the wrongs we do ,so will they.

Yes, murderers need treatment and therapy. Execution may be a quick fix, but it doesn't set a good example.
