He works for a construction company, and his older brother also works there. The woman that owns the company and quite a few of the other employees, including his brother are Jehovah Witnesses. Well they are working on a government job and are supposed to be receiving gov't pay rates. Well him and another co-worker of his, that are not witnesses, are not receiving that rate. We recently moved into our own appt. and he couldn't hardley get his boss to give him time off so we could go and sign the lease together. His boss lets other workers get away with giving him attitude, and acts openly hostile to him sometimes. Am I imagining things or are they discriminating against him because he's not a witness? These things dont happen to his older brother, just him and this one other co-worker. What do you think he should do?

Um, I know somebody that got fired for messing her pants at work. She farted and it left a big wet mark on her pants and a customer complained to the manager, who told her to go home and change, but she just went to the bathroom and wiped it up and I got fired at the end of the day. Is it legal to do that to somebody even if they cant help it?

A few months ago my girlfriend and I split up and she moved back home, taking with her a very expensive dog that I paid for when we first started dating. At the time of purchase she was not quite 18, and we did not live together, and we were never married. I have proof of payment in my name, but both of our names are on the papers for the dog and she still has him in her possession which prevents me from going to take him back. I have been told I have to do it legally, but I'm needing to know that there is no way I can lose the case due to the fact that she has him, her name is on the papers too, and she will say he was a gift. Are there any loopholes, or is it open and shut. Also, is there any way I can do this without incurring a lot of court costs?? I know she won't let him go without a fight, although I am sending a preliminary letter explaining my intentions. If anyone knows the laws pertaining to this and can advise, please do, only serious informed answers please. Thanks.

In the Fifties, when someone didn't agree with you they called you a Communist. I think this is an example of how polarized America has become. If you disagree with a certain point-of-view, your're called a liberal, which means you don't have the right to an opinion.

A class action lawsuit was filed on June 20, 2006 in U.S. District Court challenging HB 1059, the Georgia sex offender legislation passed in 2006 by the General Assembly. The named Defendants include Governor Sonny Perdue, Attorney General Thurbert Baker, and Polk County law enforcement officials.

Lawyers from the Southern Center for Human Rights (SCHR) and the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia are seeking a Temporary Restraining Order to stop state and local entities from enforcing the 1,000 feet restrictions from school bus stops on and after its July 1, 2006 effective date.

This afternoon, U.S. District Judge Clarence Cooper ruled that the Temporary Restraining Order applies to everyone on the registry.

I think marijuana should be legal in the United States. I don't smoke it, but I know plenty of people who do. There is such a huge market for it already, we should make it legal and tax the hell out of it. Apply the same laws to it as alcohol, you have to be of a certain age to smoke, you can't smoke and drive, etc. I think it would cut down violent crime considerably. Opinions?

My husband (separated) and I have a son. He was involved in a bad accident in March. He is in a high level coma...cannot speak, stomach tube, ect. and is in a rehab facility. I signed over my rights to guardianship to his mother b/c we were on the way to divorce and it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. I was told that because she won't sign the release forms, it stops my husband and my son from qualifying for social security benefits. She just doesn't want me to have anything else to do with her son...I understand that, but it's not possible when we have a child together..I think my child and I am entitled to some help but she is refusing to sign any paperwork that will help us out. I can not get any support from his family. Does anyone know what to do??? Please help,...I'm running out of funds!

I just asked this quesiton...but I add in some details.

It's not really my fault. I was covered by insurance and now they said I am not covered by the insurance.

And also, I think it should be damn dentist's responsibility to make sure if you are covered.

It's not like I ditched. Because I paid the portion was that supposedly uncovered by insurance. But now my dentist is calling me saying I ain't insured.
