Call the non-emergency number to your local police, ask if you can have an officer escort you to her house and then he/she will be able to assist you in obtaining the pictures if your mother admits they were given to you from your father.

Tell her she's welcome to copy them and then you would like them back. If that doesn't work, have your father call her. That should do the trick.

legally you can get them back, call the police, let them know, a cop would probably go get them from her
