I think marijuana should be legal in the United States. I don't smoke it, but I know plenty of people who do. There is such a huge market for it already, we should make it legal and tax the hell out of it. Apply the same laws to it as alcohol, you have to be of a certain age to smoke, you can't smoke and drive, etc. I think it would cut down violent crime considerably. Opinions?

I agree. Although it leads to many bad things, maybe if we legalized it, it wouldn't be considered as "cool" to do it. People are gonna do it wheather its legal or not, so why not legalize it and lower the crime rates?

Absolutely legalize it! We already have places you can go to but pot with a doctor's note. I haven't heard of one single problem from it. I think it should be like The Netherlands where it is regulated by the government. The crime rate there is low but that is because of harder drugs like heroin and cocaine. Having places like pot coffeehouses available to me when I was 6 made it less forbidden and so I grew up thinking wow big deal. Just like candy is to kids. I dont have any kind of problem now having tried every drug ythere is to try. I am glad I grew up in a tolerant country where it was a VERY big deal if someone got murdered
and the perp was always found, but things are changing. There seems to be no simple answer to hard drugs, but leaglize marijuana

I am a smoker. Marijuana should be legal here. Here's what would happen if marijuana was legal in America:
Murders would decrease, since Marijuana smokers hate violence.

We wouldnt be at war with other countries, since smokers forget about the times when people do something disrespectful to them

Teen pregnancy would decrease, since it lowers men's sperm count and decreases egg cells in women.

Everyone would seem happy and people would smile more, since marijuana makes things seem more funny.

People would invent more innovative inventions, since herb makes people more creative.

So, my fellow smokers, lets make a stand! The Bible teaches us that people united can accomplish anything.

By the time it was decided where we could'nt smoke what would be the point of legalizing it. Look at where the right to smoke outside is going, marijuana would'nt stand a chance.

I agree with you. I recently quit smoking because I have kids. I didn't want to take the chance of my kids getting taken away from me. If they do legalize, I'll spark one up again.

You see when you smoke maryjane, you don't drive anyway. First because you have to get up, second because after you get up you have to remember why you got up. And then after all that thinking you are hungary and need to eat. But to your question no that would be ridiculous

If it was legalized I would open a place like Starbucks. Call it the Pot House.

That idea would go up in a huge fuzzy cloud of smoke if implemented.

the only good would be to tax it and get money, it would not reduce crime though because more people would get high on it and then you have the problem of them doing stupid things, like killing their kids
