Why do sooo many white people HATE black people? What did we do?

Its often because of how they were raised, with fear and hatred. Sometimes some blacks act really bad, but im not sure if young whites are any better these days. The gang stuff, the really evil message of rap and hiphop music, the baggy pants look that makes people wonder what they are hiding in there. Its a lot of things. But likely started with making blacks slaves, and then fearing them because they worked hard and were stronger than the white masters. Im sorry for how most whites act. Im not any better than most. I was raised so far out in the country i didnt see black people till i went to college.

I could easily flip the script and ask why so many black folks hate white folks, although I would know where the hostility comes from it still is not right for a whole race of people to be judged. I am not going to say that I know where you are coming from, cause obviously i don't, but I will say this, the majority of black women that I pass dislike me, give me dirty looks, talk crap ect... because my husband is black and they take that personally for some reason. I say get a white, hispanic, italian, or whatever man and get over it. and that is my advice for you too. If you find someone that don't like you view it as their loss and get on with your life!!!!!!

Personally, I hate no one. I've known people from Africa (they were born and raised there), and got along with them fine. Really not any different from me.

I have some problems with African Americans though. All you hear are constant complaints from them. If things are so bad then go back to Africa, or another country that will treat you better.

The people I met from Africa were SO GLAD to leave there and come here. What with aids, war, genocide, famine, tribal warfare, ethnic cleansing, pestilence, and disease throughout the African continent.

But people of African descent in this country do nothing but complain about how bad they have it. So, its not really hatred with me, I'm just tired of the whining, always wanting more, and the expectation that I owe black America something. I owe no one anything...

Whether you agree or not, this is the GREATEST country in the world. ANYONE can be anything they want to be in this nation. Just suck it up and drive on...and don't blame others if you stumble.

P.S. My nickname doesn't mean anything so don't go there...I've been called that since I was a little boy. Just a shortened version of my last name...means "Lord of the White Hill" in Gaelic.

They are scared of what they don't know. Most people who are racist, usually do not socialize with races outside their own. The media portrays blacks in general (with news in mind mainly) in mostly a negative tone. People love to see misery, and the media targets poor neighborhoods with high crime rates. At least where i'm from...most of the crimes you see being reported are by black people, so this just feeds into a racists thoughts that "all black people are bad" because...that is all that they see. They don't try to see the good, they ignore the fact that every race has a "bad seed" and not to judge a whole culture based on what they see on teleivison.

Well not ALL white people are racist. I believe it is because many rappers nowadays just rap about pure filth. Of course not ALL rap is like that, I love the genre of rap. That filth is unnecessary though. There are also some racist black people. Also because blacks are mostly the ones who are on the news doing bad things. However EVERY race has these problems, racists just assume everyone is the same. Racists are very ignorant people and YOU are better than them. Just think of them like immature children and you will be happy again:-)

I try to never hate anyone. I am against illegal immigration, but I do not hate People from different countries. I hate the sin of homosexuality, but have some friends that are homosexual. Hating what someone does and hating someone are two different things. Yes some white people hate black people, but not all of us do.

okay here a situation and tell me what you think.
i am white and my child is white.

i taught my child that people come in various shapes sizes and colors. (laugh if you must but it get the point across)
he sees white people, brown people, tan people with different eye, he sees dark brown people, he sees tan people.

with this i learned something through a childs eye. I said something to my husband about a cute old BLACK women down the street and how she worked her yard and all the kids in the neighborhood messing it up. my son over heard us and said momma there are no such thing as black people. they are just different shades of brown. i had to think about it before i responded and i told him he was right and we don't call them black people any more. they are refered to as african americans or brown people.


now let me ask this...
if this child shows not racism or predujuces then why does he get called a cracker? why does he get hit and beat up on the bus for being white? why does it have to happen to a child that has been taught that people are equal no matter what others think?

someday i would like this explained to me.

if others taught there children this way maybe there wouldn't be ignorance like this question.

I am African American and that question goes right up there with "what is the purpose of life"?

Its subjective, so I will give my subjective answer. I believe that its simply a matter of "xenophobia": fear and loathing of people who are different from them. You will find that if a person hates blacks, he/she will also hate Mexicans and Arabs and "muslims", etc.

The bottom line or definitive basis for this hatred is fear. Fear that "they" will no longer be able to propulgate the "myth" of white supremacy". There was a Fox news reporter who told white folks to go out and make babies because the latinos are taking over in terms of population growth. (See link to video below).

You obviously don't know what you're talking about. It's impossible to hate someone because of their color if they're a fine person. 90% of black people are these hip-hop types that all are carbon copies of each other. The other 10% are the REAL black people that receive no hatred whatsoever. (you know, all the ones that have jobs?)

Whites do not hate black people. Some hate the attitude that people are owed everything in life. Also, blacks are more racist than whites, and I personally cannot stand those that play the "race card" whenever they are not given everything.
