last night the road commisioner rang the door bell at the side of my house and i was in my room getting dressed i finished dressing and started opening the door when i say him looking in my dressing room window. i stormed out the door to ask him what the hell he was doing, he said i banged on the front door and no one answered it and that was the only room in the house with a light on. i said i was calling the police and my husband went outside and threatend to kick his *** if he didnt get out of our driveway. when the cop got there he talked to the other guy for a minute ( they were obviously friends) they walked up to my door together and i said he was looking through my window like a peeping tom and the cop said well lets just move on past that and by adults. he said if i wanted to press charges that he was going to take my husband to jail for threating him. leaving me no choice but to say no. do i have any rights for a cop sticking up for a peeping tom just cause he work 4 the city

road commisioner was there beacause of things that were sorted out the day before, he had no other reason to be at my house other than to be a jerk and wanted someone to ***** at. no my husband does not know him nor anyone in this town. he did not knock on my front door we would have heard it he was just a perfert looking in a womens dressing room of her house. window shades or not its illegal to look through peoples window just because they didnt anwer the door within 2 seconds of ringing it

you should report the cop. he is obviously taking sides with his friend and he has no right to take you husband to jail cause he didnt physically do anything to the man.

There may be other factors you didn't mention. Why was the road commissioner ringing your doorbell? Does your husband have a towing service or other business dependent on a good relationship with the county? What is the road commissioner's reputation? What do you expect to get out of this? Do you have decent window shades on your bedroom windows? It seems like the road commissioner could say he was just peeking in to see if anyone was home, especially if he has a solid reputation in the community. Just trying to give you a fair assessment.
