I recently bought a packet of cheddar cheese from ASDA. When I got it home, I was horrified to discover that the cheese was a "product of new zealand".

While the government with one hand tax people heavily for flying off for their holidays, the import of cheese to the other side of the world is considered economically viable enough for them to get cheese from New Zealand, fly it accross the world to Scotland, and even then, it's still the cheaper than cheese from this country.

If air transport is so environmentally damaging, then surely we can make do with cheese from this country.

In 2004 I caught my second felony possesion charge. I recieved a 4 month treatment program and 18 months probation for my crime. I completed the 4 month treatment program and another 4 months of probation. That left me with 10 months on my probation But I started getting high and screwed up my drops for the probation officer. He gave me a chance to clean up my act and I didn't take it. I was supposed to drop clean but I couldn't stop using. So I made the stupid descision of drinking a substance that was supposed to help me drop clean but only wound up getting detected. So my probation officer violated me for 3 dirty drops and said the 3rd was alterated. I was terrified of going to jail while still using, so I went on the run and have been running since November 2005.
I'm in a program now and have been clean and free of drugs since April 2006. I have paperwork that will back that up . Does anyone think a jugde will show some mercy? Serious answers only. This is in Illinois.

Please let me know your thoughts? Should councils be able to sell off sports fields to build houses? If you do agree with the following statement please follow the link to number 10’s website and sign up http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/playingfields/

“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to prevent the selling of any land currently used for sports. We believe that sports fields should be classified in the same way as national parks”

When a magistrate makes a decision is it what has to happen or is there yet another step?? We saw magistrate in custody matter 2 weeks ago. They called this morning and said decision is beign mailed out today. But when I check the online docket this is what it says:
"REPORT OF MAGISTRATE AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON PETITIONER'S "
Is what he says only a recomendation or do the parties HAVE to do what it says?!?! I'm confused now. Please help, any personal experience, professional input, or even just thoughts?

HILLARY 2003: There is a very easy way to prevent anyone from being put into harm's way, that is for Saddam Hussein to disarm. And I have absolutely no belief that he will. I have to say that this is something I've followed for more than a decade. If he were serious about disarming, he would have been much more forthcoming. I ended up voting for the resolution after carefully reviewing the information, intelligence that I HAD available, talking with people whose opinions I TRUSTED, tried to discount the political or other factors that I didn't believe should be in any way a part of this decision. I would love to agree with you, but I CAN'Tbased on MY OWN understanding and assessment of the situation.

Do you believe that censoring television, movies, music, etc. (publicly viewed, not privately owned -- cds or movies that are bought) is unconstitutional, or do you believe that it's protecting our younger children from sex, violence, and vulgarity?

Please, tell me your thoughts on the matter.

I struck a deal with someone to purchase X amount of units for X amount each. I gave 25% of sale price as deposit & the very next day I canceled the order as I found he was charging me a lot. He said I cancelled on time before he placed the order & agreed to return my deposit. 3 months later I am still trying to get my money back, he ignores my calls, ignores emails. So finally I filed with the small claims court. What are my chances of getting my money back & what chances do I have of loosing the case?I have the original signed purchase order by both parties stating that I paid 25% deposit & the rest will need to be paid upon delivery of goods. That is all that I have. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Arshish

My cousin's ex husband is on the registry of convicted sex offenders. At their court hearing last week he was granted joint custody of their 9 month old. I don't understand why a judge would do this. How can my cousin have this thrown out of court? This man molested his own daughter yet was given another chance with this child. It doesn't make sense.

The health care system in the United States is in trouble. Many people can't afford insurance or go to the doctor. Many bankruptcies are the cause of health care cost. Something really needs to be done in the United States to improve our health care.

i've told council in writing i am on holiday.if they stick it to my door, will it be classed as served before i get back.the time scale is important to my arrangements for my next house.
i am on introductary tenancy,if i miss a 2 weekly payment for rent,
i breach my agreement.i claimed for housing benefit.the benefit dpt took 4 weeks to proccess the claim. i'm now technically in arrears, they are now trying to serve the order.
i had to go on holiday(in hiding)to try to dodge it for a while.
i think it all started because i made a complaint about a council official refusing to supply me with app for housing and tho local ombudsman overturned his decision.
