Hi. I have a friend with a recording studio and i would like to record some songs. It is just for personal use, not for selling (eg, to give to my grandma lol!). so, i was just wondering if i record a song by someone else do i need to get their permission? I'm not a song writer, but i'd like to record some other peoples songs, just me and a piano. Is it illegal even if i'm not selling them or anything?

I just saw part of this case on tv about a vietnamese girl who shot her sister.
Some one on there said her boyfriend had been teaching her to use a gun and getting her over her fear of guns. then they said he had told her the gun she stupidly pointed at her sister was not loaded. If this is true then can he be charged for leading her to believe it was not loaded and causing the death of her sister?

Is it legal to destroy/dammage property belonging to 2 people? I would like to key the car at my house thats under MY NAME AND EX girlfriends name, shes the one on the loan though. So I have no involvment with the bank, if she defults, the payments go to her step-father

Question is:
Can I risk a lawsuit? Or anything thing of that matter? Can she claim it in her insurence as theft and only end up paying 500$ deductable?

I know it doesnt sound to ethnical, but the way she left just wasnt right, had to get cops involved, she has become very violent, even though I try to understand for her, shes made so many commentments towards me, then up and leaves/cheats

Ill be moving to Indiana soon, and ill need 2 signatures to transfer it there, she wont of course, so ill leave the car with her, even though ive been helping her pay (IAM NOT ON LOAN THOUGH), so hate me if you must, but I just want to know if I can do this, and let the world know while she drives what a CHEAT she is
THANKS

My brothers were wrongfully convicted for burglary, charges were dropped, the real suspects confessed. we spent $5,000 for a lawyer and extra 2K on bail. We, along with our lawyer (who didn't do much) filed a wrongful arrest lawsuit against the Police Dept. and city. Its been a year and the lawyer doesnt return my calls. Is it possible we won and he just took the money and ran? Who can I contact for with a problem like this? The D.A. or some kind of lawyer association or maybe another lawyer? Please help.

I'm 21 and out on parole/probation at the moment after doing time for robbery. None of my family had been in trouble before so they took it badly and think I'm going to end up in prison for years. When I got out I wanted to go straight and get a job, take care of my kid, all the usual stuff but after having my first legal drink I got done for DUI and they are trying to charge me with other stuff to so I know I'm probably going back to jail for that and breaking my parole conditions. I'm out a month now but am back in court next week.

When I was trying to get a job they found out about my past and wouldn't hire me. I keep on getting stick and being called an ex-con, jailbird all that and I'm not being allowed forget that I've been in jail.

I feel like if you've made mistakes people think you can't change and won't give you a chance. You get more hassle from cops too who won't give you a break.

He wants 25% of everything I recover. Part of my recovery will be for medical claims my health insurance company is paying until I settle, then they want their money back. That is money I will not receive, yet I have to pay attorney 25% of that? I may end up having to get a loan to pay attorney fees and get nothing or little for my expenses and suffering. Can someone explain how this works?

Does anyone know where I can find laws about managers protecting employees social security numbers?
-I work for a supermarket and I'm afriad that not only my idenity is in danger, but also my fellow co-workers.To find out the amount of vacation pay we have or things of that sort, the manager prints out a paper with the information on it.This piece of paper contains everyone's social security numbers on it.What surprises me is that when someone asks for such info like their vacation pay, the manager prints out the whole piece of paper with maybe 20-30 other people's info on it including their social security numbers on it and just hands it over to anyone.God forbid this info gets into the wrong persons hands. There has also been papers with every employees social security numbers just laying around on an unattended desk.I'm extremely nervous about this and need some advice on what actions I should take!(This has been brought to the managers attention one year!)

Recently in California they have been trying to pass a law that makes it illegal to spank your own child.

Smoking is now banned in all public areas in California, Arizona, etc.....in Arizona you cannot even smoke in a bar.

What is next? Do you think its right that we no longer have certain choices? Will they at some point ban alchohol? Red meat? They are already banning Trans Fats from our food in New York.
Will we be able to disipline our children at all?
I would like to know your opinions. I think eventually we will have NO rights left.
Please give honest opinions.

There is a job posting where I work for an Accounting job. At the end of the posting it states the following:
Physical demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must by met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The individual must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, see and use hands to finger, handle or feel.

Considering I use to do this job it can very easily be done by a person that cant walk, sit, talk or hear. There were only a few occations in the past year where I actually had to call someone or get up and move around. Is it legal to put this in a job posting?

My father was murdered in 1980 in Sacramento, Ca. I discovered how this happened through microfiche research of newspaper archives.

Around midnight he had been chased down in his vehicle and "blugeoned" to death. It was an unsolved case for most of that year until an anonymous tip pointed to two men who were bragging about how they "beat an asian to death." The final newspaper article I have says that one individual had been sentenced to two years for involuntary manslaughter. I spent my life without a father and he gets two years. How is that a fair sentence?

If your production is as good as or better than everyone else and your lead or manager is still recording the the amount of time your in the restroom or the number of times you get a drink of water, and then telling the supervisor that you are not performing your job , could one come to the conclusion that this is a form of harrassment?? Especially when his buddy is doing the same and nothing is being said or done to him???
