HI, i'm working for jewelery shop in UK and i have to stand all day for 8,5 hours with 2 half hour breakes. They gave me a stool, but this stool is not comfortable, there isn't any back support and after sitting for 5 minutes you have got back pains.
There is any rules about health and safety for security officers or connected to construction of the stools and chairs ?
What should i do to reduce risk connected to above subject?

Well, that is a pickle. I say: buy more comfortable shoes. You can work on your posture as well to avoid stressing certain parts of your body as you stand in one place. What do the Royal Guard do when they stand there all day long in those uniforms? That must be pretty grueling as well. If the work-place was hazardous to your health or contravening any of your legal rights, there would be a UK-equivalent to the OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Act), I would imagine.

Change a job to a "sitting" one. But make sure the stool has a back support, hey?

You're kidding right?
I'm a nurse here in the good old USA and I am on my feet 12 hours a night, and I haven't seen a lunch break in years!
Gees, stop whining - buy your own damn stool.

You took a job that involves standing all day long. If you don't like it then that's your problem, I'm afraid!

There would be nothing in the law to protect you from what you have subjected yourself to.
