Can someone sue for adultery 10 years after a divorce in Illinois?

well if you are divorced for 10 yrs then do something with another person i dont think is exactly called adultry but anyways i think maybe because even in the bible it says as one of the 10 commandments THOUGH SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY!!!

I seriously doubt you can sue for adultery at all, regardless of time. Most courts don't necessarily care why a marriage broke up, marriage is a legal financial contract made between two parties. Unless there is a pre-nup with specific penalties for adultery, I'd be surprised if one party got more child support or alimony simply because adultery was involved.

There is probably a statute of limitations - I'm not sure of the exact time in Illinois, but I'd be surprised if it was more than 10 years.

It sounds like they need to get on with their life.

Why would you want to? Move on with your life and stop trying to take up cournt time for your petty revenge.
