There is a job posting where I work for an Accounting job. At the end of the posting it states the following:
Physical demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must by met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The individual must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, see and use hands to finger, handle or feel.

Considering I use to do this job it can very easily be done by a person that cant walk, sit, talk or hear. There were only a few occations in the past year where I actually had to call someone or get up and move around. Is it legal to put this in a job posting?

Discrimination is a funny thing, what you fine discriminating , and what the boss finds are different things, but i think the boss(or company) may not realize to a disabled person it is discrimination, There for all in all it should be illigal wether or not it is I dont know .But It is deffinitly DISCRIMINATION!!!

Sounds like boilerplate. Under ADA laws an employer is required to make reasonable accommodations for somebody who is handicapped.

No because they are telling you that this job does have demands that need to be meet.

if there were ANY instances where you would have to do those things, they have every right to insist a candidate be able to do them
