Im planning on suing my lawyer for negligence....what steps do i have to do to pursue this? What do i do first can some help me please?...My story is below if you are wondering...

story: I live in the State of New York. I live in a apartment build, well it is a house with two apartments. There is only one entrace and that is the same entrace you use to exit. Before you can go inside the apartment, you got to step on to the porch. The porch used to have two post for you to hold on to. But now it has one. because the porch is no good....and that post had rot off until it just broke off. Instead of the landlord/owner fixing it, which would probably take up 10-15minutes of his time and a few nails and screws. he just layed it along side the porch. It has been broken since Sept of 2006. It is now winter over here and the steps on the porch steps has ice and snow and it is very slippery. One morning i was walking off of the porch and slipped and broke my arm. If that post was there i could of had some support to hold on to so i wouldnt have fallen, but that wasnt there and i landed on my arm and broke it.Also if i have pictures and people such as the mail carrier and other tenants to back my story up about it being broken since Sept. of 2006.

The number of lawsuits filed in the US is astrnomical, I believe if people could sue others at the drop of a hat, all kinds of things would be less expensive. Insurance premiums, medical care, automobiles, airefare, and on and on.

I know that in most county jails like where I was you weren't allowed to smoke. Is it different in prisons. Think it would make inmates less stressed if they allowed us to smoke say if you didn't cause any trouble or break any rules.

Legal Q In Regards to Child Support.?
Long story short: My brother had one night stand with girl and she had a baby. He is a wonderful child and we adore him so. He is 5 now. My brother buys him clothes, jackets, shoes, and takes him out for dinners, entertainment and this all adds up, PLUS he pays for the child support $650. He even has to drive out 2 HOURS to see his kid on weekends.
My family gets to only see our dear nephew 2 DAYS a month. She claims he's always sick, and she wants my brother to come over there to spend time with her and the kid and she makes my brother go on HER job calls. She is using my brother so bad financially and emotionally.
She always threatens legal action to him for NO reason. No one in my family likes her but we give the child everything love attention, care, and buy everything that he needs and he is happy at our home.
My Q in case she pulls a crazy stunt to go to court, what should my brother have receipts, papers, pictures or what in court to prove that he is a good father? HELP!

My father expired recently has opened a PPF account with SBI in 1998, at that time in nomination form he has written clearly
S.D.GUPTA(MY MOTHER) OR P.K.GUPTA(MY ELDER BROTHER) OR D.K.GUPTA(MY SELF)
AND IN FRONT OF OUR NAMES HE HAS WRITTEN IN ORDER OF MERIT.
S.D.GUPTA IS MY MOTHER AND P.K.GUPTA IS MY ELDER BROTHER.IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MY MOTHER TO RECEIVE ALL THE AMOUNT AS PER CLAUSE/CONDITION- "IN ORDER OF MERIT" WRITTEN BY MY FATHER? PLEASE REPLY IMMEDIATELY.

BANK MANAGER IS SAYING MONEY WILL BE DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN ALL THE THREE NOMINEES BECAUSE AS PER THEIR BANK RULE NOMINATION CANNOT BE CONDITIONAL WHICH IS NOT MATCHING WITH THE CONDITION MENTIONED BY MY FATHER IN NOMINATION FORM.
AS PER BANK EITHER WE HAVE TO OPEN BANK ACCOUNT CONSISTING OF ALL THE THREE NAMES AND THEY WILL MAKE SINGLE CHEQUE MENTIONING ALL THE THREE NAMES
OR
WE TWO BROTHER NEED TO DECLARE THAT ALL MONEY CAN BE HANDED OVER TO S.D.GUPTA(MY MOTHER)

AS WE HAVE DISPUTE WITH P.K.GUPTA WE CANNOT GO BY ANY OF THE ABOVE TWO CONDITION GIVEN BY BANK.

MY FATHER HAS CLEARLY WRITTEN THREE NAMES SEPERATED BY " OR " AND BY THE SIDE OF THREE NAMES HE HAS WRITTEN IN ORDER OF MERIT THIS CLEARLY INDICATE THAT MY FATHER INTENTION WHILE FILLING NOMINATION FORM WAS THAT IN CASE MY MOTHER IS ALIVE ALL MONEY SHOULD GO TO HIM ONLY.
IF MY FATHER WAS WRONG WHILE FILLING NOMINATION FORM THEN HOW BANK HAS ACCEPTED THIS FORM ALONG WITH ABOVE CLAUSE/CONDITION.

KINDLY HELP AND SUGGEST WHAT MY MOTHER CAN DO TO GET THIS TOTAL MONEY? CAN MY MOTHER FIGHT AGAINST BANK TO GET HIS RIGHT.

as an INFOMERICAL just like other products that are untested?

Should there be a required disclaimer b4 the news to explain that these are my or my staffs perception of the truth and I am a media mouth piece that likes to raise your blood pressure for kicks.

So should we establish a law requiring all media to have a disclaimer on it so people will know its not the news but rather someones opinion?

These days more people seem to be going to jail and prison. Do you think they will still be around in 100 years and people will be surprised that people used to be locked up in the past.

I've been in jail and am probably going back but I don't understand why people are sent to jail so much instead of other punishments like community service or fines. It just seems a waste of people's lives and money.

In 10 big cities around the country, a publicity stunt for the Adult Swim cartoon Aqua Teen Hunger force, consisting of putting up LED lights similar to Lite Brites showing characters from the show around the city, was carried out. 9 cities did nothing about it, or quietly took them down. Boston, however, considered them a bomb hoax and are planning on prosecuting the people who put them up, Cartoon Network, and Turner Broadcasting. They are also considering a civil suit because it cost them a lot of money to blow up (needlessly) all the "devices". Here's a more complete version of the story: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/02/01/boston.bombscare/index.html

My question is, if they have a halfway reasonable judge, could they possibly win this crap?

QUESTION:
Do I have the right to take a car with me when I move out of state? The car is in my name and Ex's name, but shes on the lien/loan. Do I need her to sign anything to have it registared in the new state? If not, can I paint over the windows since its my car? Its my property right? Thanks

WHY I ASK:
To make a long story short, my exgirlfriend has been living with me for past month, shes got my name tattoed, quit school to move with me... and PUT HER CAR TITLE IN OUR NAMES

Were not married, still young, but yet one day she wants to for no reason randomly move out and cheat on me.

Anyway, she came over to the house beating down the door, I call the cops, cops show up, they dont tell me that I had the right to refuse her , her stuff, untill after she got it, since the way she came in, its a civil matter to get it back, anyway the cop was being rude to me and told me after words, but when she asked for the car she left here, he said she cant take it since its in our name

Let's say I know a family that wants to pay a mother $1,000 to keep her child. Is this illegal? It seems like it should be but I'm not certain about the laws in the state or the country for that matter. They are probably doing this to avoid adoption fees but it seems very wrong. Any suggestions about my legal obligations on the matter?

I got into an accident; unfortunately, I didnt get any information from the driver. I was in a hurry to work, she hit my car from the back. After I had checked myself and the car, I just left since I thought I was fine. I know she had to stay there for a while (her front bumper was destroyed) and I think the police might had come after I left. All I remember are the date, time, the lady and color of her car. Now, my body hurt plus my head is hurt too. Im very concern about my health and I just want to have her ins information just in case I need to file a claim. What should I do?

Dear All,

as you are aware that our nation ( india ) is passing through one of the worst times of law and order problems, and no body is having fear of breaking of law.
Even if any body breaks the law he wont get any punishment for
years and years, beacuse the justice of any crime comes only after 10 to 15 years of court hearings.
Now every one including our so called PARLIAMENTARIANS & LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY LEADERS are also law breakers and most of them are CRIMINALS.
As you are aware that OUR GREAT LEADER MAHATMA GANDHI TAUGHT US TO FIGHT AGAINST THE UNJUSTICE AND BREAK THE LAWS OF GOVT. ( BRITISH GOVT. ), This aspect as taken as good example and our present generanation is BREAKING THE LAWS on the basis of GANDHIAN philosphy of breaking the laws.
Now our country is at that stage from where cannot go back nor go towards better, Now everything is going towards WORST.

Who is going to save this ancient nation.??? is a big question mark.

My friend's employers who shall for now remain nameless have new owners who have decided to make all in their workplace posts uniform.
Fair enough they are providing the uniform but they've issued an E mail stating that all staff whose hair is longer than collar length will be expected to wear dresses, whilst those with shorter hair suits. They observed that this doesn't constitute sexual discrimination since the rules apply equally to both genders. My friend is the only male employee with long hair(about which the employer has complained). My friend feels that this is an attempt by the employer to obtain his resignation. Is such a dress code unlawful?

On the Yahoo! front page is an article comparing the US against other developed nations and undeveloped nations, it highlights the differences in government regulations in labor practices, should the US federal government be more involved in the 'family-friendly' workplace, should it remain as it is, or should it be more removed from the situation? Please be specific.

For example: A couple chooses to start a family, should the govt. and employer: 1) pay more for extended leaves of absence 2) allow the person(s) to retain their job and not have to compensate them 3) no guarantee they will have job when they are ready to return to the job market. Thanks.
