At what age should old people automatically, by Federal Law, be put into rest homes? I think it should 60.

Also, should they be allowed to vote?

What's the funniest thing you've ever heard an old person say?

With me it was, "I need my pills. Who are you?"

Classic stuff, granfather.

They are now an incredible burden on the young working class. If they could be eliminated your social security tax would be greatly reduced. They could all be taken to Arizona when they turn 60 and dropped off at the border. You would not have to worry about parents getting old. You could plan you own life with more accuracy if you knew exactly how many years before being oldsrtasized to Arizona. They should not be allowed to vote because they would eventually get some power and probably would all agree to outlaw kids.

Interesting question... Some 60 year olds are completely worthless, while some 60 year olds are more productive than most 30 year olds. Perhaps we could implement a system where you build up points during your most productive years, for the good that you do, and then you lose points when you do things that represent being a burden. This system could apply to criminals too. A young criminal is a drain on the system at a much earlier age than the age that the typical person begins to become useless due to senility.

Old people seem particularly vulnerable to the propaganda spewed out by Rush Limbaugh... I've seen a LOT of Buicks with Bush/Cheney stickers.

My parents are over 60. Both have 2 jobs that they love. They drive a new SUV and a new Sports car. My aunt, 60 just bought a bright yellow Corvette convertible and loves driving it! I've worked in a nursing home, some people are put there by ungrateful children, like you!
They have every right to vote as long as they don't have Alzheimer's or something like it.
I find conversations with mature adults fascinating. Ever have a 90+ yr old tell you about the Titanic? (not the movie) They have seen wars worse than the one in Iraq, nearly starved during the depression. They raised their children to respect them & others, fear God, have morals, and give them a better life than they had.
What is your contribution to this society??

Let's just wait till your 60, have worked your whole life to pay off your house and see if you still feel the same way about your remarks.

You poor thing - you must be so miserable with your life. I hope you live long enough to gain some enjoyment - but God forbid not past 60!

When you grow up you'll probably think different, personally I don't think anybody should be allowed to vote until they're paying at least $30,000 in taxes
