If its to mail out a simple letter to a Package shes very rude and calls other imployees as if theres a Problem. Now today I printout my own Postage lables on paypal. sometimes i could guesstimate how much it weights. i would put one ounce thats about 54 or however much the postage is for one ounce. Now i take the item to the post office and tell them to add the rest of the weight and put a stamp on that.they usually subtract 54 or however, is there anything wrong with that i go to meany post offices and they say its no Problem? Then shes stating i am Brakeing the Law?if there is something wrong its going to be mailed back to me. i wanna know if shes just trying to be rude of telling the truth.

I'm sorry you've had to deal with someone with limited thought capacity. What you really need is a stamp scale and a click and ship/Customer Connect account. You have your own business and deserve to be treated properly. The reality is that knuckle-headed clerk does not realize that the USPS is looking for accounts just like yours for the Customer Connect program. You can then hand your parcels directly to a Letter Carrier, stop worrying and build a big business. I'll be happy to hook you up with an official USPS rep. who can get you started if you're interested. You can email me if you would like more information at Spielmanjr@yahoo.com

Yep, its part of the postal workers handbook... Be rude to all customers.

As for your questions, as I understand it, you put on 54 cents of stamp at home, take it into the post office and have them add any additional postage? There is nothing wrong with this method.

I would suggest making yourself familiar with the auto machine that is usually in the lobby of the post office. It is a computer touch-screen thing that walks you through and prints out the appropriate postage for you. It even asks if you already have a stamp on the package or if you need a stamp for the full amount. Since the MACHINE at the post office asks and allows you to do it, the rude lady should follow the same protocol.

She's just a disgruntled post office worker.

The next time that happens, ask for her supervisor and explain that every time you come in, she seems to have a problem with you.

Rude people need to be checked, there's no reason for it.

What! She must be racist!

Well, you know those 24 hour mailing things? Go to it, and weigh your parcel/letter. It will tell you the amount you need to pay. But then again, you can go to the lady....

Well, did you know, at usps.com, you can print postage? I'm not sure i its "instanttaneous" but it should work.

Other than that, you'll have to deal with the lady.
