my ex wants to take me to small claims court for a small cell phone bill. My name is not on the bill, the phone is mine and the debt was actually from her cutting my phone off without me transfering to another plan. Is there a way I can win this claim?

Do you do drugs?

I smoke rollups and brown. I also drink tons. Never done crack or coke. I think E's and all that tablet and punk crap is for happies who cant get poppers.

Morphin/Herion and alcohol rules. I outran police cars and a chopper in a forest after stealing alloys, while I was screwed on 2 big bottles of vodka and enough smack to send a elephant to sleep.

What legal excuse did the US use to excuse outlawing it in Utah Territory before it could become a state? If it was working for them why did they have to change? What is so threatening that a there is a federal law against it?

We are talking about a territory that had women's sufferage. Women LOST the vote when Utah became a state.

A professor handed out thousands of questionnaires for her own research, but the questions were not her own but a modification of questions in a book. I'd like to know if this professor has violated copy right when she used modified questionnaire for her own purpose? Thanks a lot for instructing me.

How does a small claims court work, step by step? Can someone tell me very specifically? For example, when/how people swear to tell the truth? Also, who presents the opening argument first, who calls witnesses first, etc.
Thank you.

OK I HAVE A SERVICE THAT IS NOT BEING OFFERED TO OR FROM THE GOVERNMENT RIGHT NOW.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO TRYING TO GET CONTRACTED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO OFFER THIS?

WHO DO I AND WHO SHOULD I CONTACT REGARDING THIS?

I OBVIOUSLY CANT SAY WHAT THE SERVICE IS OR IT WILL GET STOLEN BUT I HAVE LOOKED AND KNOW THAT THE GOVERNMENT ISNT DOING ANYTHING WITH THIS. I HONESTLY THINK THEY WOULD BE INTERESTED AND IT WOULD HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT.

SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING.

THANKS!

Let's say you were pregnant. And there were major complications going on. The doc says there is 99% chance you and the baby will die if you carry the baby to full term. Let's say you were a single mom with 2 other kids and no husband because the husband died of cancer a few months ago. The doc gives you an option to abort or not. You are going through a lot of stress at this time. Do you want a stranger butting into you and your docs conversation, telling you what you can or cant do with yourself?
How would you feel about laws that tell a woman that she has no right to make up her own mind because frankly she cannot make up her own mind?

have applied at mobile home park as a tenant. I passed the credit check, and the manager at my current resident gave me a good recommendation as a responsible tenant.

Since I do not receive pay stubs, I offered to show my saving account balance (which is a good amount), to demonstrate that I am financially comfortable to pay monthly rent. The owner wants more "proof" as to my financial status.

Therefore, my questions are: 1) do I have legal rights to seek tenant references from the landlord? 2) Am I obligated to show the landlord my tax return from last year?

Thank you,

I got a fix it ticket some months ago from not registering my car in california. It's past due and now I know I have failure to appear. What should I do? I'm afraid that if I go to the courthouse to try to figure out where I stand, I'll be arrested. I think I need to post bail but I still haven't been able to correct the problem. Anyone else had experience with this?

O.K., my phone company will not take cash for payment on my debt with them (my phone bill). Isn't that illegal? Since under the Canadian Currency Act a payment of Canadian bank notes is legal tender.

I attended an event at a bar in Juneau Alaska. Before I left I went to use the men's room and after I was done I pulled up my pants and was struck in the eye by someone. I do not know who or why. I had not spoken with anyone besides some co-workers that evening. I had not said anything rude to anyone. The blow to my eye was so bad that blood began to rush into my other eye. Somehow I ended up in the parking lot and there were people yelling at me. Not fully aware of the situation, I yelled back, all I could think about was calling my wife and telling here what had happened. I tried to wipe the blood to see and I managed to call her. In trying to tell her what happened I was tackled by police and was put into a cop car and was being told I was being taken to the station. They gave me a ticket for Disorderly Conduct. They changed there minds and took me to the ER where I became unresponsive and was medivaced to Anchorage in case I had a brain injury. All the bones in my eye were broken

If you go into a Wal-Mart and return something, I always get asked why I am returning it, I usually just say "I don't want it", and they always go into further detail..."well, is there something wrong with it?", "why don't you want it?" or "why did you buy it if you don't want it?", they always hassle you. And once I said "I don't know" when I got asked that question and they told me that they will not return it without a reason. So, do you have to give them any reason at all?, because I don't see anywhere in most stores return policy's "...with a reason". And can a store not return something because they don't like you, or they think your suspicious? If you follow all the guidelines of their return policy, isn't that a legal contract that they have to obied by?
