It's called "doctor shopping" and you could ask Rush Limbaugh--it's a felony in Florida. Pharmacies have to keep records of what meds are sold to whom and have a hotline to report suspicious prescriptions.

No, I don't believe so. My grandmother goes to the same doctor, but she takes a BILLION different things. I think you just have to let the doctor KNOW that you're already taking something.

I think that doctors can look up your medical records to see the prescriptions you are taking, so they probably won't give you more medication if you already have a prescription.
