What right to the rotten Democrats have to destroy cause masssive, widespread unemplohment and skyrocketing inflation, just when the economy is going great? What right do they have to prevent new companies and small comanies from hiring people and growing?

Would the Democrats really like to take down the Stars and Stripes, raise the hammer and sickle while they're in session in Congress, and play the former Soviet National Anthem?

How could a Socialist minimum wage law possibly be constitutional at all, when it interferes with the right of consenting adults to enter into a private contract to engage in legal work, and agree upon mutually acceptable terms?

Most of you liberals are too ignorant and stupid to even understand the above question, but nevertheless, I'll pay you $100 if you can, and if it's logical.

Finally, what are you going to do when you're out of work because of all this, watch American Idol?

Michael Savage - sorry, you're wrong on this one!

I have a quick hypothetical question please.

First you'll have to imagine this device exists. Imagine it could produce a powerful beam of high pitch sound. Imagine it has a range of 100 yards. It is perceived as intollerable if aimed at an average person, prompting them to immediately move away.

Now imagine someone aims this device from a private dwelling into a public area, like the road, sidewalk, bus stop, or public park. Imagine it is aimed at pedestrians, motorists, and general members of the public for nothing more that humour. Also, it is often used in acts of racism, and descrimination. Imagine this was not an isolated practice and became common.

I know its hypothetical, but can I please ask if there are any laws to protect someone in a public area from situation like this?

My husband received a paycheck via direct deposit on Jan 31 and quit the next day Feb 1. Now today the company withdrew the paycheck from his account. That paycheck was for the time he worked from Jan15-Jan31. He has a work laptop that is on its way back to the company and they have the shipping number to track it. The company is in Colorado and we're in Virginia. Isn't there some kinda law that protects against this? I honestly think that there is no way they can legally get away with this! We're very upset and have no idea about what we can do about it.

I don't understand how people use the "the government says it's illegal so that's it". I can't understand why people go along with whatever the government says without question as to WHY something is illegal. Have people become so well trained that they actaully believe that if the government says, that's the final word and they know best?

When it comes to certain things...I like to know WHY something is illegal. Is it illegal because it's truly a bad thing or is it illegal for other political reasons.

Sorrry but..."The government said so" doesn't float with me.

I live in the state of New York (Upstate)...I live in a apartment. Which is a house with 2 apartment, one upstairs one down stairs. There is only one entrance to get into the apartments...which is also your exit as well. But before you can enter the apartment...You have to go on the porch. The porch used to have two post/banister. One of them has been broken for many months. And the owner/landlord haven’t fix it yet, he just laid it alongside of the porch. I understand he has lot of iron in the fire(other things to do)such as take care of the other houses and apartments he has. Because I know he owns a lot of buildings and stuff. But it would only take 10-15 of his time to fix. A few mornings ago. I was coming down the steps, and happened to slip on some ice/snow. I could of have some support if the post/banister was there, but which it wasn’t, and in result of that. I broke my arm. Is that my fault. Would that be the landlord responsibility to fix that or was that the tenants responsibility ?

It was a psychological exam for CSD.I talked to my ex 1st time in 8 yrs. Which he told me The Dr.& his brother were friends & the Dr. revealed personal things I had told him. The chances were 1 in almost a million since my ex & I lived in Arizona.I live in Oregon which is where I had my exam. Also of course the Dr & my ex's brother live in Oregon too. I'm sure the Dr never thought my ex & I would ever talk again. But to share real personal things to his friend also caused family problems.

My question is more rhetorical than anything else. Why should pot be illegal? This is supposed to be the land of the free, but I'm only allowed to smoke tobacco and NOT marijuana? It's absolutely ridiculous. Your thoughts?

Sorry - asked this before but received no answers..

I believe everyone should be entitled to one vote.
However - I don't see why a Professor of Politics at Oxford should have equal say to a 18 year old crack whore from Nottingham.

Therefore I propose that certain positions gain you a second vote - ie a doctorate, professorship, becoming a barrister - all these would automatically grant you a second vote. Meanwhile - in the interests of equality, every person would be entitled to take a short exam to entitle them to the second vote. It would be a basic test of simple british politics, history and geography. If you pass the simple test proving your understanding of how this country works, you get your second vote. The exam could be offered to 6th Form students as standard and also arranged in local libraries/church halls for others who wish to gain their extra vote.

More fair?.... Discuss!
