I have to agree with Fozzie Bear. Police are not required to protect you during a crime...only to clean up and investigate afterwards. When citizens are given the right to protect both themselves and others, then those who would take advantage of us would be less inclined to do so.

I would also say that having a majority of people employed with living-wage salaries also helps reduce crime rate. Desperate people are far more inclined to commit robberies and burglaries.

Thirdly? Be a parent to your kids. Spoiled brats grow up to be spoiled brat adults who think the rules do not apply to them.

Become vocal and active in raising awareness and consciences about the vast and unjust chasm in wages in this country.

Translation: if the company is doing well, the employees should be doing well.

People who are not struggling to pay their bills are far less likely to consider dipping into the "crime pool."

Get a gun and protect yourself.

Statistics show over and over again that when the law-abiding citizens are allowed to protect themselves with deadly force against criminals, crime goes down.

You can start with your community. Start a crime watch program and encourage your neighbors to inform their family and friends to do the same.
