Where did you fall? If it is in your lease that you have to maintain the sidewalks and you fell on ice then NO. If you fell in your apartment then No. If you fell on a bad step cause it was in disrepair then you may have recourse, but I would just try to see if the landlord can come to some agreement with you first, or you may be looking for another place to live. I don't think they would like to have a current tenant that has sued them! Good Luck!

Yes, get a personal injury lawyer. Most will see you for your initial consultation, for no fee. Then, they will work with you on a contingency fee basis (they only make money if you do). You can look one up online (Google your city and personal injury lawyers) or in the phone book (under attorneys) or you can contact your local state bar association and ask them for a referral.

you need to file a bodily injury claim and sue your land lord. Look in your phone book for attorneys that handle bodily injury claims

Yes, a personal injury attorney is what you need. Find one that will take your case on a contingency basis so you don't have to front any money.
