Your next of kin can have this done even though you have NOT consented to have your organs donated!

If you don't want this to happen, you need to sign a living will stating that you don't want your organs donated. You should also appoint a health care proxy to make sure your requests are honored.

I wouldn't want my body donated for science, organ donation, now that's different. I wish everyone would agree to that. It could help so many people.
But I guess it really wont bother us either way because we wont know about it.

how are they going to get YOUR consent.. YOU'RE DEAD if this discussion between MDs and family is taking place
Everyone should sign a organ donor card for possible organ transplant use
after you're gone, you'll live in someone else
you will have possible saved someone else live or made it better
how wonderful is that

they can do anything with your body even if you wish to have your organs donated they can refuse to have them donated.
It never matters what is on your drivers license and the next of kin have the final say...too bad.
If you even want to be buried they can have you creamated.

No, I didn't know that. What should we do? Threaten to haunt them for the rest of their lives if they do this? Or, worse yet, threaten to be there waiting for them, to knock them out when they pass over? Personally I don't care what they do with my body since I won't need it any more.

My friend told me that she was going to have my head mounted like deer with my mouth open to hold her mail, if I died. She's thoughtful.
