How I would love if that were true. Unfortunately, with humans, truth is often tainted by emotions, to the point where persons couldn't see truth if it walked up and smacked them square in the face.

Since man first walked upright, they have fought each other.
Your question has been asked millions of times & there seems to be no real answer other than the reasons that man fights.
They fight for different reasons, land, wealth, religion, to master other men, the list is endless. Talk has worked for some periods of time but never lasts. Until we either realize that the world is in a time when we could all perish from war; small wars will continue until one natiion finally has control of all nations; even then it won't stop, man will rebell against domination by others so it will continue. War will be with us to the end.

As the world gets smaller and our world problems bigger, I think that cooperation is the only way we will survive as a species. One step is right here at Yahoo Answers. Realize that the questions and answers you write are going to be read by people around the world. When you post a question, keep this in mind, and if you wish answers from people from countries other than your own, be sure to mention that. Another thing to realize is that some questioners here aren't native English speakers, and so sometimes their word order and spelling are a bit off. They may have even used a computer translator--and from experience, I can tell you that those programs don't get everything right. So please, be kind and respectful of those whose answers appear to be from a non-English speaker. Think how awkward it would be for you to answer a question in another language unfamiliar to you.

These are small steps, but they are a beginning. We come to Yahoo Answers to find answers, after all. And we are more likely to get them using respect, intellectual curiousity, and the courage to think beyond our own prejudices.

When the Muslims stop murdering innocents and teaching their children to murder innocent civilians the world will then have a chance at peace.

I don't understand why the infidels of the world do not unite and eradicate the Muslim disease from the planet.

true, but unfortunately unless something huge happens that changes basically everyone on the planet it will never happen...war makes me sad, it's so pointless the only thing that comes out of it is death and destruction...families get torn apart by it on both sides, all because two groups have some differences.

There is not enough empathy to go around. Let's face it, we see the World through our own eyes and that makes us pretty selfish beings.

And there are lots of aholes who just want more and more and don't care how they get it. How can you change that?
