My black lab had been missing since friday, and today we got a call that she was at a animal shelter two countys away, and had been there since friday.
So we picked her up and she was very excited and happy to see us, but something seemed wrong.

She seems deppressed, and won't really eat. Shes useally pretty playful, but not today.

Is she just getting over the stress of what happend, or does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks.

She barks when someone walks by our house. When the door bell rings, the tv makes a doorbell noise, when she "thinks" she hears that someone is at our house. When we are outside and she is inside ( for just a couple minutes ) she will bark until we come inside or walk to the house and tell her to shut up. I think she has separation anxiety, but even when people come over and are in our house she will just sit there and "woof" at them. "Woof" as in not a LOUD bark just an under her breath bark. She will "woof for 10 minutes at them until she finally calms down. She is a very large dog and looks scary to those who dont know her, she is harmless and has never and would never bite anyone. But she is intimidating. Help shut my dog up!

I woke up around 12 in the morning today and found out that my 6 month old toy female Chihuahua vomited all over my bed. And when I saw her, I noticed that she is shaking uncontrollably as if she were drunk. I try playing around w/ her, feeding her something to eat, letting her drink water... and everything seems to be fine. Her nose isn't wet, though. And her vagina is "leaking" droplets of what seems to be just ....water... (it has no smell, no color.... at least that's what I think it is.) And she usually cleans herself "down there" but now she doesn't. She can walk and run, but she seems to have no balance.

Note: This has NEVER happened before. She is just only a little less than 7 months. (Her birthday was March 19, 2007.)

Is she starting her menstual cycle or is it something else?

Our dog (Golden Retriever) managed to get out of our yard. Not sure but we think she might of gotten hit by something and luckily it just rolled her. She's doing great, but she has some pretty good scrapes on her legs, and one leg actually has a spot that's a little bit bigger than a half dollar where skin and muscle are gone and you can see the bone. Pretty good injury that is healing very nicely. Problem is she came back home with some unwanted friends (fleas & ticks) that we would love to get rid of, but with the injuries I'm not sure what would be safe to use on her or if anything can be used right now.
Any suggestions to get rid of the bugs that is safe with her injuries?
Thanks.

As you can guess, she won't stop throwing up and just stares into blank space. She's normally happy and active, but just hides in the back yard, puking here and there. Any ideas of what I can do to settle her stomache?

I come from a long line of championship dog breeders. This technique is both proven to bring the betch into estrus/heat and ensure successful semen implantation. Here's what you will need:

1. A can of mild paprika
2. 3 tbspns of Tumeric
3. 1/2 tsp of smelling salts
4/ 2 tbspns of dark cocoa
5. 1 cup of melted red Tiger Balm
6. A bunch of stinging nettle leaves
7. Warming Ky jelly or Astroglide Xtreme

Mix items #1 thru #5 together in a bowl, microwave on high for 3 minutes and then set aside to cool.

With the help of another person, stimulate the betch's vulva and clitoris with the nettles until she becomes hyper-excited (she will attempt to run away or bite you when she reaches the optimum state).

Grab a handful of the aphrodesiac mixture and hold it inside a closed fist. Coat your hand thoroughly with the KY (make sure you're good and slippery) and then massage the mixture first onto the betch's clitoris and then up inside so that you coat the entire uterus and fallopian tubules. Repeat the procedure thrice per day for three consecutive days.

On the fourth day release her to the stud and stand back!

You should try to bring the beetch to climax in the morning before presenting her to the stud. That way she'll be well lubricated and smelling ripe. Betchs respond well to manual clitoral manipulation or electronically accentuated vibratory applications (you can buy a vibrating massage "bug" at your local drugstore for under 10 dollars). Use duct tape to attach the electronic vibrator so that you don't have to hold her during the application (I have four betchs climaxing through that method as I am typing this!).

My Male German Shepard, Diesel, is about 10 months old. I just got him in July. He is going to the vet in a couple of weeks to be neutered.... Should i have his dew claws removed right away? The previous owner told me his are not as normal dew claws are- his are attached to his bone so it will need to be surgically removed. Any advice for me????

I just don't understand why Cindy's daily dog poll questions got deleted. Someone please tell me why it was felt they were inappropriate, or not dog related? Each and every one asked a question to the answerer about their pets, nothing more. Gosh, there's tons of "what kind of dog do you have and what's it's name" questions that never get deleted, why the heck would a daily dog poll be such a bad thing?

Can someone please elaborate on this for me as I'm rather confused...

that I left the dog poll questions open so that more people could participate to get started?

Did you know that I have a LONG TERM plan and direction for the questions?

Did you know the poll is a SERIES of questions, meant to spark related questions or give Dog lovers some information in a fun - NON confrontational format?

Did anyone notice that yesterday's question about microchips contained something besides the question - just a hint to check your contact info on your microchip or tatoo if you haven't done so in awhile?

Did you know that they were GONE, removed by someone who didn't like them?

These are DOG questions. I'm asking nicely for answers from whoever it is that is so angry?

My parents' just called and want me to decide if they should put down my dog, we grew up together. He's 10 years old right now, an Australian terrior, he has been diagnosed with diabetes for 3 years now, both his eyes is blinded by glucoma, he bumps into walls all the time. Although he's still active, but he can't function in the house. We used to stick him daily to give him insulin injections before meals. Do you think it's time to let him go? 10 years old is that still young or is it consider to be old

I have a ten year old **** tzu dog.He has a couple of lumps on his neck, which is now thought to be tumours.
He is not ill in any way,and is eating okay, and still plays etc,but the only outward signs he has is that he rubs his back sometimes, whick causes his fur there to thin.(this is to do with the tumours).
On his last check he had quite a substantial heart murmour too.
I have been told his heart is weak for being put out,but they have said he should have a biopsy on the lump.
I dont know what to do for the best, should I put him through a biopsy, that could affect him,or let him live as he is at the moment as no one knows whether his life is shortened by this or not.
Thanks.Need advice, especially if you know about this.
