I took my pit to the vet and was told it was most likely a false pregnancy but to come back at 45 days. I know now she is pregnant because i feel the puppies moving around. This was not an intended pregnancy and I am very concerned with my dog. She is eating quality dog food but only when she feels like it, like once a day.Is there anything I can do for her.

This Saturday I have a birthday party planned at 9pm for me and a friend there will probably be 20 guests in a small apartment. There will probably be loud music and smoke and lots of people making lots of noise. I was supposed to pick up my new 2 month old Pug that day, I should probably wait until Sunday right? Yes, I know this may be a stupid question.

she does take him out to walk around a couple times a day but is it good for the animal to be in a small setting like that for at least 7 hours a day or longer depending on day. She has been doing this for at least two weeks that i know of monday through friday and its everyday.

The puppy has only been with me for a few days now, and is having trouble adjusting to sleeping alone at night. I do not have a cage yet, and would considered it worth while to purchase one if it would help. I live in a small apartment with her and it is just us, but she is so small now that I am afraid of her getting hurt while she is laying in bed. The real trouble comes from her constant crying when alone, is there any way to help her get over that? It wouldn't be so bad, but my walls don't do much to block out the sound, so I lay awake at night feeling like a bad person, until finally I go and get her and spend the whole night trying to stay just consious enough not to roll over on her. It doesn't help that I am a big softy when it comes to training. Do I risk the posibility of depressing her if I all of a sudden try to put her in a cage at night? I am trying to establish a comfort toy with her, but she doesn't seem to be getting anything from it. What can I do to help?

I have a black lab, and his coat is becoming very thin, and is even getting bald in some spots. This has just been happening over the last month or so. He is only about 1.5 years old, and has a very good diet. Is there a shampoo I can use that will help him?? His skin is so dry and he seems miserable. He doesnt have fleas, but he scratches constantly. Any suggestions?

I've been seeing a dog out in a very remote area for about a week now, where it looks like he was dumped. He's been afraid to get in the car until last night, I finally got him. I've had calls in to the shelters, rescue and state police since I started seeing him in case he was lost. Finally, last night, he stopped being afraid and got into my car.

He's going to the vet but I was curious NOW........ is there a way for the vet to be able to tell if he has any shots or what shots he's had? I've gotten all my dogs before from shelters or rescues so I never had to deal with this before... I always had some background on them. Thanks so much!!!

out from under my fence and running around my neighborhood. No matter how many times I patch the holes she just digs another hole. Now when I let her out I have to keep her on a leash and I hate to do that. She is a Border Collie mix so I know she loves to run around but I just cant trust her not to dig out. Any suggestion? Please help!!

Not sure if I heard this right, because I only caught parts of what they said, but this morning on the news they announced, that the majority of Michael Vicks dogs WILL BE SAVED!!! One was too aggressive and had to be put down, but they said, some of the others would be adopted out to new homes and some will be used in Law Enforcement. I just think it would be great if thats true, because it will give these poor dogs, another chance at having a good, happy life, with someone who will properly love and care for them? What do you think?

Why would someone's question appear nine times? Do they lose all those points. When posting a question it just said...We are taking a breather (not that the question would post) So if they continued to try and post the question the lose five points each time. This happened to St. Lady. So now they are saying she used up her limit of questions for the day. WHY???? Has anyone else had this problem. I tried to reach Yahoo but, with this new "upgrade" I cant find out where to ask?

my fiance and i have a 5-6 month old mongrel male puppy. we also have a poodle cross and a chihuahua cross. we have no history about our mongrel puppy as we found him in the drain. but he must have had some bad experiences as he is VERY fearful of dark coloured men, men generally and pretty much everything.
he also is very food agressive and has a high prey drive. he used to just be agressive around food and at the beginning has attacked my little ones. but now he attacks the little ones after i pet him and then them. or even over the water bowl. now when we r at the dog park he runs after my little ones and pulls their tail and bites them on the back. i don't think it looks playful it looks like he is chasing his prey. i really don't know what to do. it's getting so much for me! i love him dearly but i am just so worried it'll get worse.

we took rocky a 3yr old dog to the vets he had weakness, elevated kidney values, elevated potassium, decreased sodium/chloride, elevated muscle enzymes. They gave him injections of IM/SQ/IP , antibiotics & IV fluid therapy. We picked him up 3 days later & he was better, but they dont know what was wrong. It cost $1,025. they said it could be Addisons, but that test is another $200. The vet said it could be kidney diease, but they dont know. i have wiped out my checking & savings & they want more $$ for more test (i dont have it) & WE STILL DONT KNOW, WHAT , WHY, OR IF IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!Does any one have any ideas? He had highlevels of AST(SGOT),CK TOXO,MYOSITIS,NEOSPORN,AMYLASE,BUN,CREATININE,PHOSPHORUS,POTASSIUM,B/C RATIO,MCHC,ANION GAP,LYMPHOCYTES... Low levels of CHOLESTEROL,TCO2(BICARBONATE,CHLORIDE,SODIUM,NA/K RATIO,NEUTROPHIL SEG... I dont know what the blood test was when he was brought in ,(I just know he was near death). This is the results when we picked him up!!!
