I took my pit to the vet and was told it was most likely a false pregnancy but to come back at 45 days. I know now she is pregnant because i feel the puppies moving around. This was not an intended pregnancy and I am very concerned with my dog. She is eating quality dog food but only when she feels like it, like once a day.Is there anything I can do for her.

She is restless at this stage,.. try fortifying her food with vitamins and high protein supplements.

Then get her spayed, 2-3 mths. after the pups are born!

Break her meals down into 2 smaller meals per day. She doesn't have as much room in there, so maybe smaller meals will help.

You can add a Tablespoon of Plain Yogurt or Low Fat Cottage cheese to her food also. They are great digestion aids that could help keep her stomach at ease.

I'm so glad you are concerned. Perhaps you will have your dogs spayed soon now.

Please get her spayed. We don't need more pit puppies in the world. They are the last to get adopted and most are killed.
