You don't say the age of your dogs or any medical history.
First step would be to see the vet.
These symptoms can indicate so many different problems, from anxiety to tooth problems, to intestinal parasites (one of the most common problems) and even to mild or early onset of the deadly diseases that unvaccinated dogs or even vaccinated dogs who have weak immunity, can come down with. Other possibilities are such things as poisoning.
Once more critical possible causes are ruled out, ask the vet to do a fecal exam for intestinal parasites, worms can even kill a dog if there are enough of them.
Another parasite that often will make dogs lose appetite and weight is the giardia parasite. It is hard to detect but easy to treat and if a dog has giardia and is put on Metronidazole (the most common drug for treating giardia) you will see a drastic improvement in the dog's appetite and condition in 24 hours or less.
A great book for dog health and illness topics, symptoms and much other helpful information is the Dog Owners Home Veterinary Handbook by Carlson & Giffin.

Unfortunately, I did have this happen with my elderly papillion mix and it turned out to be kidney failure. She lost about 1/3 of her body weight in just two weeks. I had no idea she was sick until then, because there were really no symptoms. She was more subdued than she used to be, and acted like her back bothered her a little, but she was an older dog, so I put it down to her age. The vet told me that when the kidneys go, nothing tastes good to them any more, so they stop eating and drinking. I hope that is not what it is with your dog.

Is Your Dog Not Eating Properly Lately?
If yes, then you'd want to take every little caution and find out more about this situation. Due to the degree of danger involved, this is a concern that most dog breeders will be paying extra attention to look after their dogs with care.
One of the reasons for dogs not eating properly can be due to what is known as "kennel cough," which happens often when the pet has been in contact with other dogs in some confined environment such as kennel, alley, etc. All it takes to clear this up is to keep the dog away from others for a while, and at the same time, use some home remedies for kennel cough such as cough syrup. Very quickly the dog will start its normal appetite again.
Another reason for dogs not eating properly can be due to abscessed teeth. This is made more evident if the dog makes noises in its throat and refuses to eat. Usually, taking antibiotics for 2 weeks will help the dog overcome such suffering and normal eating should resume very quickly.
A more serious possibility is indicated when the dog has a dry cough and is trying to vomit in vain. A heart problem could be the reason behind the cough as the heart is pressing on the esophagus and thus triggering the cough. Home remedies are not sufficient in this case and a visit to the vet is highly necessary. Often times, professional intervention that gives rise to a better prognosis can save lives when it is carried out early enough.
Might the fact that your dog not eating properly be due to more serious reasons such as your dog has been poisoned? If yes, it is important that you as the dog owners know Dog's First Aid procedures to follow in case your pet might need it urgently.
If your vet can't find anything wrong, you can try this, I give my dogs organic yogurt everyday:
Yogurt with Probiotics for Gas, Vomiting and Gastric Distress in Dogs
8/9/2006: Amy from Odenville, AL writes, "My dog was having stomach problems; gas, weight loss, eating grass and vomiting. After about a week, we had blood tests and a complete exam with the vet, who could not say what was wrong. No parasites or worms, no organ problems. At wit's end, I thought about probiotics and yogurt helping people's stomachs. I checked, and yogurt is safe to feed dogs. My dog eats at least 4 tablespoons of yogurt per day and has not had any more problems; even his weight is back to normal. It is his favorite "treat" and my other dogs get it every day too!"

There are way too many reasons your dog is not eating and losing weight. You need to take him to the vet asap. He could be hurting.
