My son wants to work with animals

Whats every one talking about. Why would I get a job with animals if i don't like them?! Just because I'm not crazy and run into the streets yelling about animals, doesn't mean I don't like them what is wrong with some of you people? Especially you Italian greyhound. Just because I'm not a freak like you who probably values the life of his precious dog peanut (thats it name) over the lives of everyone around you, doesn't mean I don't like animals. I usually don't retort to stupid answers but this just got me angry.
Ps. I love animals, and the environment. I walk most places and I think animal cruelty is for freaks. And also I am married, why are some of you saying that I sound to young? I'm 37.

And an average Vet usually makes 65-85k. So actually my wife is doing pretty good.

And it's called a marine biologist. And if I was in this just for the money why wouldn't I just become a lawyer or doctor? ( my cousins a doctor, brothers a lawyer) And in my opinion no one should ever get a job they don't enjoy.

if your into working with animals just for the money:
quit while your're ahead!
you'll never cope dude, working with animals is a tough job, you have to know and understand the animal to do well
and good luck to your wife mate, i'm a fan of all those who really care about animals ):p

Guess you "vet wife" is either a poor vet, or lives in a bad area of the country, because there are a TON of vets that make more than 70 grand!!!!!!

Actually, vets CAN make WELL over 100,000, this depends on your area, and the clientelle base you have.
Perhaps your "wife" should work on being a better vet? :P

Specialized areas like neurosurgery, cardiovascular, etc. make more money a year than general care vets do.

Animal jobs dont make money...You sound like you dont evven care about animals only the money...I certainly dont want you workking with animals. Go do a job you do deserve like a mcdonalds cashier...You'll do more work there..Or do something productive like read a book.

First off, you don't sound old enough to be married, just the impression I get.
Second, vets CAN make well over $100k depending on the specialty and/or location.
