I have a ten year old **** tzu dog.He has a couple of lumps on his neck, which is now thought to be tumours.
He is not ill in any way,and is eating okay, and still plays etc,but the only outward signs he has is that he rubs his back sometimes, whick causes his fur there to thin.(this is to do with the tumours).
On his last check he had quite a substantial heart murmour too.
I have been told his heart is weak for being put out,but they have said he should have a biopsy on the lump.
I dont know what to do for the best, should I put him through a biopsy, that could affect him,or let him live as he is at the moment as no one knows whether his life is shortened by this or not.
Thanks.Need advice, especially if you know about this.

The biopsy will be painless, Just a small tissue sample taken from a numb place. Those lumps my not be malignant, or they may be treatable. Have the poor thing tested.

We are not able to probably diagnose your puppy on right here. From what you have mentioned, it seems like he's unwell. The blood within the stool might imply some thing from whatever minor to whatever very severe. I might name your vet and make an appointment instantly.

it's shih tzu,

my shih tzu had lumps, and they turned out to be very large wart/boil/pimple things, they just numbed the area and cut them off.
