I just don't understand why Cindy's daily dog poll questions got deleted. Someone please tell me why it was felt they were inappropriate, or not dog related? Each and every one asked a question to the answerer about their pets, nothing more. Gosh, there's tons of "what kind of dog do you have and what's it's name" questions that never get deleted, why the heck would a daily dog poll be such a bad thing?
Can someone please elaborate on this for me as I'm rather confused...

Nandina-- so if Cindy doesn't mention the word "poll" then she wouldn't get deleted, right? The problem with this is that it is a dog related poll and so I feel it belongs here, where the dog enthusiasts will see it readily and be able to answer...
Okay, Cindy, no more use of the word "poll"... how about just daily dog question instead? See if that works?

Whoever reported Cindy is a lowlife scum. They need to get back on the troll bus and roll right outta here.
I am sooooo done with this crap.

Technology is great, but in all honesty I think there needs to be human faces behind it.
The computer doesn't know that someone hates so and so, and reports them repeatedly. The computer only see X amounts of reports, then deletes, bans whatever. Does the computer log, and track the IP address of the people reporting people, or does it just look at usernames. Granted an IP track isn't the greatest, but its something more than a name.
Personally I'd like to see some real live moderators on YA, not just a computer counting numbers. I think it would solve some of the drama around here.
By the way, I also rather enjoyed the daily polls.

I don't know. I'm a first time "parent" and I'm always looking on Y!A for anything dog related. They should go thru and delete some of these nonsense questions.

Personally I found the questions to be interesting and I liked reading the answers.
I didn't have a problem with the questions.
I would rather see those questions rather then name my dog questions.

I really found it unnecessary to delete her polls. At least they had something to do with dogs! Some of these questions on here are just stupid like anything having to do with "teacup" and "designer" dogs, what to name a dog, and how to convince parents to get a dog. I'm sick of seeing those questions time and time again. I'm also confused as to why the legitamate questions seem to always get deleted and the stupid ones stay on.

I agree with what you guys think. I start feeling tired of those repetitive questions (house training, name for my dog, breeding problems). I also noticed that some people give thumbs down for honest and good questions. What's up with these people? Actually, I like those daily polls.

There are a number of questions where the asker flat out wages WAR with anyone who doesn't agree.
The difference is, no one reports them.
It's that simple.

Yahoo said they were chatting and remove them. I don't get it either but I guess enough people reported her and her questions. They felt that the were not informative and offered no useful information in the question and in a best answer. Now you tell me how questions like name my puggle or help me convince my parents get me a dog are informative and offer information as best answers?
A mystery to me.
