I woke up around 12 in the morning today and found out that my 6 month old toy female Chihuahua vomited all over my bed. And when I saw her, I noticed that she is shaking uncontrollably as if she were drunk. I try playing around w/ her, feeding her something to eat, letting her drink water... and everything seems to be fine. Her nose isn't wet, though. And her vagina is "leaking" droplets of what seems to be just ....water... (it has no smell, no color.... at least that's what I think it is.) And she usually cleans herself "down there" but now she doesn't. She can walk and run, but she seems to have no balance.

Note: This has NEVER happened before. She is just only a little less than 7 months. (Her birthday was March 19, 2007.)

Is she starting her menstual cycle or is it something else?

May be hypoglycemic. It could be an emergency. Go to a vet NOW. Heat does NOT cause lack of balance.

No. I would never leave a young puppy confined with an older dog. It is not safe for the puppy because the older dog has nowhere to go when the puppy gets annoying. Puppies get injured this way and the owners are always So Surprised. You will not, of course, be leaving the young puppy loose in the home when you are not there to supervise! I'm not sure why you want to be an instant multi-dog home, but it's a bad idea. Raise one puppy at a time. Each puppy deserves time to learn housetraining and basic obedience commands. Each puppy deserves your individual attention as it is growing up. Wait a year or so to get any more puppies. It's also better to have their ages spaced out because when the end comes, you don't want to lose them all within a few months of each other.

I would take her to a vet, because you need some input. Your vet wil help you learn the things you need to do to keep her healthy for a long time to come. Those little chihuahuas are known for some shaking, but this sounds like med attention would be smart. Partly to make sure that she is not dehydrated. Maybe she ate something she shouldn't have. And sometimes dogs have seizures or strokes. I don't want to scare you and i am not a vet, but those little guys and girls are kinda tender. Don't waste time, get professional answers!

Your a bit selfish for not getting her fixed as it only makes her die way earlier than most dogs as it can get her pregnant, no matter how much you keep her away from other dogs, then your either going to keep 6-8 puppies or give them away, and most likely only 1 of them is going to it's permanent home.To the second bit, "toy" or "teacup" dogs hardly make it to their first year, they are very fragile and a magnet to sickness. I would suggest taking her to a vet, and while you are there make an appointment for her to be spayed.
