I recently just lost my close dog that I've had for about 5 years. I had to give him away because he needed more space and i dont have enough for him:( Everytime I remember something about him or think about him my eyes water up. I don't want to get over it, but how do I find the bright side of this and instead of crying when thinking about him i instead smile?

my dog sunny is 8 yrs old. After 2 years of having her she would cry all of the time. It was so sad. We'd play with her but she'd just cry. We thought she was lonley so we got a new dog to keep her company. She loves our new dog starry who is now 6 but than after another 2 years she started crying again. We believed that this could be because starry is a lap dog and sunny is a golden retriever who loves to run around and play. So we got a third dog, a coonhound mix. Sunny loved this dog so much and than she died. The crying started up again. We got one last dog whom Sunny loves, but only after having this dog for 1 year Sunny is crying! I dont know why. She goes to the vet every 4 months. And we play with her all of the time! Why is she sad? We cant get another dog. What can I do to help sunny?

Everyone says that you should always get your pup from the pound. To be honest, I bought my pup. Did you get your pup from the pound or did you buy her from a breeder??

Here in Thailand, if your dog annoys a neighbour, by barking too much or chasing motorbikes, they simply poison it! Probably with Rat poison...
I am worried that that may happen sometime to my lovely Girls.
So if I ever saw them looking sick is there anything I could do?
Should I have an antidote standing by.......? If so what?

My dogs bark at everything that moves, and sometimes they howl for no reason. At first I thought they were doing it for extra attention, but now it has become a bad habit. My neighbors are annoyed and they complain about it. How do I make them stop, without making them wear a shock collar or something that will hurt them. They didn't always do this.

Why do people say my American Bulldog could be actually a pitbull? As far as I know he is a mix between American Bulldog/Rottieweiler, but i took him to the vet and they wrote him down as a pitbull. Is there some way the breeder really didn't know there dog, or something like that? Please help because a pitbull will not fit into my lifestyle.

I fell in love with my yellow Lab from the moment I laid eyes on him. Plus he was a gift to me from my brother right before he past away. In a great many ways my brother is alot like my Lab. They both make me laugh, they both care more about me than anything and they both love me no matter what.

It all came about night before last. She was walking across the kitchen floor when she went a little sideways, lost her balance and her hind feet went flying trying to balance herself and down she went and she laid there. She looked like a stroke happened. She went to vet today, he wasn't sure what it was, could be stroke, heart attack, tumer in brain, lungs were clear, but has labored breathing in her stomach, very low body temp. We brought her home and she does drink water if we bring it to her, but refuses to eat, but wants us near all the time.

I know if Yorkshire Terriers are bred to AKC standards, they will be no bigger than 7 pounds, but I'm having trouble visualizing this in terms of length/height.

If you have a Yorkie, can you tell me how big it is? Maybe like, weight, length and height, if all of that is possible! Guesses are okay. If there's a generic object that you can compare it to, like a certain shoe size or whatever, that would help too!

(Please, only ones that have been bought from reputable breeders, and that fit the AKC standard. Also before people get angry, I'll add that I know responsible breeders don't breed for the 'teacup' or 'tiny' dogs, and I'm not looking for those! Just looking for an average size of healthy dogs.)

I have an adult female Rat Terrier and a six month male rat terrier.

I didn't think it possible but while my female was in heat, they hung up. Can my female get pregnant? :::Yikes::: This was NOT planned.

Thanks for any info!
