Trying to find Dog Food Recipes I can make for my dog who has High Protein level in his Urine. I have studied and seareched all the Helthy and Perscrition Dry Dog Foods. But all have a bunch of rubbish in them. I do understand they have to be certain ingredients to maintain the dogs diet but most have corn, poultry fat and flours in them which my dog is sensitive to all the fillers. Much help needed, Thank You.

She hacks white spit up every so often. I will take her to the vet ASAP. This would be the second time she has it. (Last time was 10 years ago). Other than that she feels fine, drinks water ect.

I recently purchased a small full grown dog from someone. They did not want the dog, bought it for their grandaughter and now have no use for it. Since I am a dog lover and hate to see a dog being kept in a cage. I offered to buy her from them. They agreed. They do not know what type of dog it is. Has a shot record, but nothing says what type.

It's very small and have long straight hair. The size of the TACO BELL DOG (I can not spell it). Will the vet be able to tell me, what kind it is? Or do I have to go to a humane society or something like that?

Thanks!

everybody around the world perform sterilisation procedures
for their pets[dogs].as a pet carer i have noticed dogs
mate only during the heat cycles .if we neuter a male dog
hormones may not be produced in its body so it cannot identify a female dogs urinary smell so how can it will mate? if
we sterilise a female we are completely removing its ovaries
so it wont come to heat and hormones may not be produced in its body then how will it mate? its important to avoid
unwanted litters but at the same time our sterilisation procedures are affecting their natural living and they are kept
as a dolls in our homes for our entertainment.vets should
follow or discover a procedure which will not affect their
natural wellbeing instead of seeing our selfishness.

I am a hospice nurse and one of my patients has 2 older chihuahua cross dogs who need to find a new home. They need to be together, Jack and Jill have been together all their lives and would die of lonliness if they were seperated. They are indoor pets, very well housebroken and a bit spoiled. I have 3 dogs of my own and cannot have any more where I live. I would be willing to deliver these little guys to anywhere in Southern New Mexico or West Texas just to see to it that they are in a loving home together. Please contact me via my Yahoo page and help me keep my promise.

I have been told by my vet that spaying and neutoring my pets is a good idea but I am a bit afraid to. My male Min Pin has a very lively, spunky personality that I would hate to lose and my female Maltese has a very calm and peaceful nature. I would hate to lose those qualities. They are both great with other dogs, cats, children etc. and have amazingly perfect tempraments. My Min Pin hasn't been marking territory, humping etc. since he was 9 months old. He was housebroken at 11 months and my Maltese doesn't have any un-wanted problems. She was housebroken by 5 months of age so I am afraid they may start doing things in the house. What are the pros AND cons of spaying and neutoring my dogs? I need proper answers as anybody who has faced this deiema will understand my worries of fixing my dogs!
Regards,
Kianna.

My 1 year old Bosten Terrior is having her first litter thanks to my neighbors 6 year old Pitbull x Lab. Lolly is an outdoor dog except for when we aren't home, we bring her inside the laundry and put her in her crate. She has a very big, wooden, warm kennel which I would like her to have her pups in because I don't want blood/newborn pups in my clean home. Also, is there anything I should do prior to labour and what are the signs of labour? I will be outside with her to make sure she is alright and I will be able to give her food if she wants it. What do I feed the pups? Can I start to give them away or sell them when they are 6 weeks old or younger? I don't want them for too long. Lolly is now 65 days pregnant so when should they be coming? I got tests done on her and she is due to have 7 puppies!

I just brought 2 Year old dog from interstate, all i knew before buying is that she was locked in a Garage her whole life, she is very skinny and that she chases her tail. Well feeling sorry for the dog and seeing a picture i decided i would purchase her, fly her to me and then i would go from there!! Well she hasn't stopped chasing her tail (I KNOW IT WAS CAUSED BY BOREDOM) but she is 2, does anyone know how to stop her from doing this? She only does it when people are near her!! Its really starting to get annoying!!

My dog is almost a year old, whenever I take him out, he barks out of control at other dogs (all sizes) and adults, he is not that way at home, he is a good dog, obedient and disciplined, very loving and people really like him, however lately his barking is out of control & can't take him to any kind of park without him barking and causing everyone to stare, & never stops til, I finally get so upset & we have to leave, he is a maltese & though I love him, I can't deal with this any more he is well fed & cared for, there's nothing violent around, or out of order, I give him a lot of love, what do I do? I do take him out for walks & bathroom, but he is impossible to deal with, besides obedience school, how do you remedy such dilema?? no offenses please, I haven't done anything to cause this. Thanks...

Yes, this question is prompted by the question "Help.....Intestinal blockage in dog......?"
Would any of you hesitate to take your to the emergency vet? How many of you would "put the dog down" or would you pay the $3000.00 bill? Do any of you carry dog medical insurence on your dog? Do do you think is is really worth it? I don't think it is as for all the years I have had only one emergency. The once a year check up and shots seems to be fine.
