She hacks white spit up every so often. I will take her to the vet ASAP. This would be the second time she has it. (Last time was 10 years ago). Other than that she feels fine, drinks water ect.

There are quite a few types of Kennel Cough. Unfortunately they can get different types even if they're vaccinated.

Kennel cough vaccine doen't prevent kennel cough it only "helps" reduce the duration. Actually it only "helps" with 2-3 strains out of 28- 32.
Kennel cough itself is not a serious illness.It is self limiting and goes away within 3 weeks, however a proper diagnosis must be made because of other illnesses which are similar..one being Canine Influenza which is serious and needs treatment.

The kennel cough vacccine only protects against certain strains, so if the dog come in contract with a strain that the vaccine does not protect against they can still get.

Outbreaks often occurs at greyhound tracks despite the dogs all being vaccinated
