I'm going to have to ditto the vet.
did it have vaccinations recently it could be having a reaction to? is there blood in the diarrhea? Was he vaccinated against parvo?
These are questions vets will want you to answer.
Also bring as fresh of a sample of poo as you can get. They're going to want to run a test called a fecal float.
This will test for any kind of bacteria or worms that could be causing illness.
Loss of appetite, diarrhea and a warm nose are signs you don't want to mess around with.
My dog also use to dig holes when he was sick. So if that's something unusual in his behavior, don't wait to get him in.
Diarrhea causes dehydration which will lead to other complications.
The sooner you get him in, the cheaper it will be for you. The longer he's sick the more complications arise, the more the price of a vet visit will go up.
The sooner you get him in the better for both you and the dog.
Not only to mention cost, but if he's sick with lets just say cryptosporidium... just as an example... handling the fecal when cleaning up after him could be harmful to you as well since it is transmittable between humans and dogs.
So yeah. in closing
Vet. As soon as you can.

This problem could be gastro enteritis, and they will pass blood rather quickly, If you have gotten the Dog vaccinated for canine distemper then enteritis is probably the cause, if not vaccinated, Distemper starts with the symptoms you describe. So take him to a Vet, Young dogs are at risk of dehydration and kidney damage when they have diarrhea for as little as a couple days.

Your dogs is amazingly unwell and in case you aren't getting him to a vet urgently you'll lose him. Why have you ever allow this bypass on for 3 days without searching for veterinary interest. This dogs is suffering. in case you had those symptoms might want to you get your self to a health practitioner or merely put up with it?

Always when an animal is sick you should contact a vet. All of those can be symptoms of illness except maybe digging holes.

I would book an appointment with the vet & have your dog checked over to be on the safe side while your waiting for your appointment date have a little look @ one of these sites, but remember we are not vets on here we can only offer help/advice & I think it would be best to call your local vet, they usually have sunday morning appointments
