I had my dog for 16 1/2 years. She lived a good long life. She died over a year ago in my arms but I still can't stop thinking how much I miss her. Is it normal to still be thinking about her after so long?

We have a blood hound mix that jumps on you as soon as you walk out the door. She is very loving but we can't stop her from jumping. She's only a 1 1/2 yrs old and we got her a couple of months ago. We have tried everything we can think of but no results.

Please help!! She is as tall as me when she jumps and nearly knocks me over.

Oh! We also have a couple of cats that she paws at with her huge paws. The cats are terrified of her. I think she just wants to play but my kitties only play with our 7 lb Chihuahua. HELP!!!!

a friend of mine takes his dog in for regular grooming( hair, nails, etc), the other day he has me drop her off for him with specific instructions, one of which was to "drain her anal gland". my question is is this normal? necessary? recommended? he says she(his shitzu mix dog) feels great. i have a miniature chi wa and want to know if any one knows what this involves and is it something i should consider having done to my baby?

When i go to walk my female Doberman Lab mix (90lbs) she stops about 5 houses down. She won't move at all she'll just sit down or lay down on the ground. Anything you do to get her to move she won't go forward. Only till you start heading back to the house then she will start moving again. As you head back to the house she looks sad with her tail down in between her legs. All most as if she was sorry that she couldn't go on. She's 5 years old and she just started to do this about 6 months ago. It is her usual route too.

my poodle almost died because of being fed Save-A-Lot canned lamb and Rice with gravy, so i took him off of it and he got well. i put him on Purina Beneful dry food two weeks ago, now he is getting diarrhea and it has to be the change. I don't feed him any other kind of foods.

would a Chihuahua and american bull dog be good together

2007-03-21 13:49:09 · 8 answers · asked by rosco 1

I have a 6 yr. old Chihuahua. One year ago the vet removed a bunch of teeth, but the bad breath is back worse than ever. It is almost as if removing the teeth helped none at all. His breath is really bad and brushing the teeth and the mouth wash prescribed by the vet does no good.

Actually not so funny...for the first time in 9 months, this morning she threw up..yellow...was told it was bile...and not to worry, she did not eat last night so she ate today twice now and all was fine. However, we made little mini carrot cakes today, and my silly sister ate one and left the paper on her lap. Puppy jumped up, and of course ate it!! Obviously she chewed it, and then swallowed. Must have been much small after chewing it... Is there any danger with this? The paper was tiny.. was the mini cupcake size. Should I take her to the vet? She seems fine, playing and all.

into. I know that corgis are usually between 25-30 lbs, about 10 to 12 inches high. Does 24in x 17in x 19in seem large enough? Any suggestions are helpful!

it's our facilities trainer! he bought and trained a standard poodle. he doesn't understand that he needs to get it in to be groomed regularly. he brought this hairy beast in to me today to see if i could clean him up. i told him NO because the last time i groomed him it took 1 and a half hrs to bathe and dry. 2 and 1/2 hours to brush him out. then another hour to brush his head. then another hour and a half to trim him. and he thinks i'm responsible for keeping him up!!!

It's been 9 wks since i groomed him last. how do i tactfully let this guy know that i'm not going through that again. he's totally against shaving him even though he's matted. i'm tempted to just do it anyway.
