You can go to their respective websites and find store locations. These foods are all completely grain free.

Canidae is an excellent food without being as pricey as some of these others. My dogs do really well on it. (I can't believe I had to come back and edit to add it)

Contact Nature's Select dog food (www.naturesselectpetfood.com) - as far as I can tell they make several different premium foods and probably have a recipe your dog can tolerate. I fed mine the Chicken and Rice with Glucosamine and it went down like a shot.

Also investigate Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance foods. They are very healthy as well and I don't see any corn or wheat on the ingredient list.

Artemis
Canidae
Evangers
Wellness
California Natural
Read "Whole Dog Journal" They do an amazing analysis on wet and dry food. Corn is very bad for dogs and lots of breeds can't tolerate wheat.

Theres nothing wrong with beef and wheat, but some dogs have allergies to certain things, so they say what isn't in the food. As for fillers, they're in most of our food anyways, but some people don't want their dog eating it i guess. It won't hurt the dog, but some companies need that extra pat on the back for making their food 'healthier'

Here a few names, Innova Evo, Canidae and Natural Balance.

There are others, here's how to find them along with the other criteria for a high quality food. High quality foods will not contain corn or wheat.

Nothing you find at a grocery store is going to be a good food. High quality foods can be found at large pet store chains, or online. A couple of foods I like are Nutro Natural, Innova, Innova Evo and Cannidae.

There are other high quality dog foods. Here's how to spot them:

A high quality food will have little or no fillers such as corn, wheat or soy. These aren't very digestable for dogs, and are common food related allergens. Since you were seeing corn meal in the first few ingredients, those are not high quality foods. Foods list ingredients by content, with the ingredient it contains most of at the top.

A high quality food will not contain BHT, BHA or Ethoxyquin, these are all chemical preservatives that have been linked to cancer.

A high quality food will not contain by-products of any kind. Meat meals are ok as long as the source of the meat is listed, such as Chicken Meal.

A high quality diet should have meat as at least the first ingredient., and be made from human grade ingredients. Foods that don't use human grade ingredients often get their ingredients from less than desirable sources, such as meat from animals that were diseased, or euthanized.

There is another diet option other than dog food. Some people choose to feed a raw diet. This involves feeding the dog raw meaty bones and organ meat. However it is not as simple as throwing a couple chicken bones in a bowl everyday. If you wish to feed this type of diet, do lots and lots of research first. Switching to this diet without knowing what your doing can lead to nutritional problems for your dog. I'll give you some links as a starting point in research if you are interested in this type of diet.

We have just switched our dogs to what they call raw food --no grains at all. They are shih tzu--it comes in duck-venison-chicken etc. you can get it in can-dry and frozen. It has been 2 weeks and they love it good appetite, bowl movement. Be sure to read the instructions about handling the food. It is a little expensive but dogs and cats are meat eaters not vegetarians. Change their food gradually.

A lot of brands make a lamb and rice dog food. But do make sure you check the ingredients on the side of the bag. I've bought lamb and rice for my dog before, only to come home and read the bag & see it has corn/wheat in it.
