we recently had to put my almost 9 yr old ___terrior to sleep, and now it seems our 11 yr old chow/dalmation seems lonely, i dont think a puppy would be good but something around 5-7 yrs old we have a couple jack russel terriors i mind and some other type of terrior who is going through a local 4H training.
If you know a type of dog that would be good then that would be AWSOME

Does anyone have real life experience with this? I've pretty much decided not to submit him to Chemo or Radiation. However I do want to give him the best life and diet possible in his current (healthy state). Any insight would be helpful this is a first for me.

I would love to have a Whippet, I've been scouring the papers and internet for nearly a year searching for one. The AKC shows no registered breeders in WA, OR or ID.

I DON"T WANT TO PUT HER DOWN!!! She has bit and nipped at my 7 yr old daughter three times in the last four or five months!!! She has not drawn blood...but I don't want her biting my kid!!!! She is almost three years old and very hyper...Everytime it has happened there has been food involved...Once she tried taking her bone away from her, then the next 2 times she tried to grab the dog treat bag off the shelf in front of the dog's face and she did it again! My mother and older brother live with us (me, my 7yr old, and my husband) and they say the dog has to be gone today or they will get rid of it before the 2 of us get home from work tomorrow....Any suggestions???

I'm currently looking to buy a puppy. Mine passed away in January at age 11 but she was given to me when she was 4 months old. The one I´m hoping to buy is a Toy French Poodle and is only 1 month old. I am not sure if she is to young to be separated from her mother or if she is too fragile because of her age. Should I buy an older puppy or is her age ok? Please I really need advice to make this right, since I couldn't stand another loss.

After I take my puppy for a walk, she'll breathe really hard and really fast. I usually take her for 30 minute walks twice a day, but it is pretty hot here (about 80 degrees F). I never push her more than she wants to be walking. But is her breathing normal? Is she just trying to cool off from the heat? She has black fur, so maybe she's just really hot.

Any suggestions you could give would be really helpful. Thanks!

My Lab is driving me crazy with itching!!!!! We have had him to a vet on several occasions. He is on frontline and we use medicated shampoo on him but from about 6 inches above his tail and down his tail is nothing but scabs and hot spots. He just chews on himself all day long..It is driving me crazy. He is always chasing his tail to chew on it or he is rubbing his hind end on anything to itch it. He does not have worms. Does anyone have any suggestions ...I'm desperate!

My beagle is just turned one year old. Her hips were black but are slowly getting more and more brown. I've read that beagles often have their fur change color over the first 1-2 years of their lives and maybe for their whole lives. And I've also heard that the skin pigmentation of beagles changes and that changes the fur color. Her hair is still very thick so it isn't like she's losing too much or anything.

Has anybody had any experience with this or have anything to share?

Thank you!

my mum has just bought a gorgeous jack russell pup. she is eight weeks old and mum was advised by the breeder to purchase a crate which we have done. the breeder said to make room for a bed and toilet area. although i thought this sounded wrong i checked with a vet. i didn't think to ask how long she should be kept in there each time? could anybody who has experience in this please help. for those that don't agree with this method then i am sorry if i have offended you but am going ourely on what these two professionals have said. thanks in advance!
