After I take my puppy for a walk, she'll breathe really hard and really fast. I usually take her for 30 minute walks twice a day, but it is pretty hot here (about 80 degrees F). I never push her more than she wants to be walking. But is her breathing normal? Is she just trying to cool off from the heat? She has black fur, so maybe she's just really hot.

Any suggestions you could give would be really helpful. Thanks!

That might be a little too much walking, but the heavy breathing is how she's cooling off....try 15 minute walks and more of them instead od 2 30 minute walks...but the breathing is to cool herself off

That's a lot of walking in the heat for a black dog. Make sure she gets enough fluid and consider walking her early in the morning when it's cooler.
