It really sickens me to hear that your poor bulldog passed away. My poor beagle passed away too a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately I had her cremated and did not have an autopsy. As far as I'm concerned all dog foods wet and dry, because these people knew about the contamination back as early as January 07 and did not bother recall the foods. I'm sure it was in the interest of saving money. So why should any pet owner trust them now! Please save all your evidence and vet bills these companies need to be punished for this. I'm sorry for your loss. That's never an easy thing.
Dry dog food is not involved in the food recall. It was a canning plant that had the problems, so a bunch of wet food is suspect, but no kibble.

i'm sorry to hear about your dog - while i did read that it was only the wet food involved, i will mention that maybe a month ago, i had an issue with my dog - he had what seemed to be a series of seizures, vomiting foam and foaming like crazy at the mouth - the doctor suggested i immediately stop feeding him the food i was feeding - purina beneful - because it was most likely the culprit. i spoke to other workers in the office and they said several dogs eating beneful had various urinary tract problems, from bladder stones to kidney issues and etc. very serious kinds of problems. i have also heard stories about dogs in other parts of the country passing away from kidney failure after eating beneful.

My 7 year old Shih-Tzu was diagnosed with kidney failure at the end of last year, but we caught it in time to give her medicatons... We were feeding her Iams Weight control DRY dog food... now she is on medicine for the rest of her doggy life. The Vet said it WAS caused from the food and she will not recommend it to anyone. She was healthy other than a little over weight and her whole body started shutting down, she would just lay around and not do anything. I would like to know myself... is there anything safe to feed our animals? I am sorry about your dog:(!

Some of the food infected was dry food, but it was mostly wet food. It all depends on the brand of the food. I would say to contact the number on the banned list and tell them your story and they will tell you if it could possibly be by the food.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

I am sorry to hear about your Bullie.
None of the dry food has been recalled yet, but they also have not been able to figure out what is causing the problems yet so they may eventually recall certain brands.

Go to wlfi.com to see if you fed your dog the recalled dog food. It's supposed to cause kiddney failure.

I am not really sure what my little girl "Cassie" died from, it was suddenly, she was 7&1/2 years young. Cassie was an American Eskimo ,20 lbs. of weight. She always ate Kimbles & Bits "Tender Chops" until recently the store that I shop at stopped carring it around Christmas time. Then I was feeding her another Kimles & Bits flavor. I am courious about this matter also, if you here any thing please contact me.
