My 8 year old Pom has been vomitting about 1-2 per week since we got her 4 weeks ago. Usually she will vomit, then be fine. Other than that she seems to act normal and have a good appetite but this morning she vomitted twice then seemed to be in pain and just laid on the sofa all morning. I checked on her during my lunch break and she seemed normal and lively all except she hadn't touched her food. Should I take her to the vet? What could be wrong? I don't feed her wet food so it's not the pet food recall stuff and I only feed her dog food. I just don't feel like it's normal for a dog to vomit 1-2 per week. Am I overreacting?

I want a short hair, red, dachshund mini doggie so bad. I have a full time job and I have an 8 year old and a 12 year old children. I also have a Brittish budgie, three hamsters. But I really want a dog. My husband said I have to get rid of the other pets first. I love my birdie and hamsters. This isn't right. I want a doggie and why must they be so expensive? No one is selling them here in the Bay Area.

I have a 6 month old black lab named bailey..he is great around me and my spouse, but when my 6 yr old son tries to pet him, bailey does a little growl. Only showing his bottom teeth. I was told that bailey is just trying to be the "alpha male". I was also told that my son should be the one that tells the dog "no". Well, I tried that today, and when my son said "no", baileys little growl turned into a big growl, showing all his teeth. I dont know what to do. Im a little frightened. My son doesnt even want to be around him now. What do I do? I've had enough with him growling at my son. Please help

Ok, the lady that ended up taking the pug here at work already has 6 dogs, and 2 rowdy kids, she was laughing at how her fully grown black lab attacked the pug puppy when they introduced the two, saying the lab always pins the pug down and won't get off him. Also, she said since the pug will not listen to her to go potty outside, she's going to get a choke collar for the dog to pull it outside, also whenever they are at work, he stays outside..and most pugs are inside dogs ...almost started crying when I heard her talk like this. I LOVE my pug and he is so precious to me, and to hear this dog being mistreated (i think so anyway) is so so sad. I want to offer to take him off her hands if she'd like, but now I am concerned that this poor little pup has been thru too much too soon and will be too confused if I offer to take him from her. He is 2 months old, I believe.. I am about to cry just typing this. Like I said in previous question we already have a 7 almost 8 month old pug

MY DOG IS LOVED PLAYED WITH HOUSE BROKEN TRAINED TO DO TRICK SHE WAS VERY EASY TO TRAIN HAS ALWAY LOVED HER CRATE UNTIL A FEW DAYS AGO SHE HATES BEING LEFT ALONG .SHE STARTS DROWLING AND SCRATCHING THE PILLOW IN HER CRATE WHEN I LOCK HER CRATE TO GO OUT FOR A LITTLE WHILE. I DONT WORK SO IM HOME MOST OF THE TIME . BUT I HATE TO GO OUT FOR 30 MIN AND FIND HER LOOKING LIKE A WET RAT. IT IS NOT HOT IN THE HOUSE SO THATS NOT WHY SHE IS DROWLING. I HAVE NO WAY OF BLOCKING OF A SECTION OF THE ROOM THE ROOM HAS NO WALLS I CAN ONLY LOCK HER IN THE BATHROOM BUT I FEEL THAT WOULD BE MEAN BECAUSE SHE ISNT USED TO THAT ROOM.DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS HOW I CAN CALM HER DOWN AND GET HER USED TO HER CRATE AGAIN.I DONT FEEL CONFORTABLE LEAVING HER LOSE I'M AFRAID SHE COULD CLIMB ONTO THE COUCH AND GET HURT COMING DOWN OR EVEN GETTING UNDER IT AND GETTING STUCK, SHE HAS NEVER CHEWED BUT I WOULDNT WANT HER CHEWING A WIRE BEHIND FURNI-
TURE.ONCE AGAIN THE VET RECOMMENED THAT SHE SHOULD BE CRATED

I got a Boxer from animal rescue about ten weeks ago. It was very thin and very nervous and seemed to be very badly treated.
It now has a good loving home, it is well fed (and snooring very loudly beside me at present. )
It gets good exercise and has the free run of 20 acre fields beside me.
But when i try to bring him back home, i.e. put the chain back on him or call him. he cowers and runs from me.
My daughters friends tried to pet him one morning and he developed uncontrolable shakes in the hind legs.
He is scared of shadows, bus stop shelters, well basically every thing.
Any advice. Please.
