Ok, the lady that ended up taking the pug here at work already has 6 dogs, and 2 rowdy kids, she was laughing at how her fully grown black lab attacked the pug puppy when they introduced the two, saying the lab always pins the pug down and won't get off him. Also, she said since the pug will not listen to her to go potty outside, she's going to get a choke collar for the dog to pull it outside, also whenever they are at work, he stays outside..and most pugs are inside dogs ...almost started crying when I heard her talk like this. I LOVE my pug and he is so precious to me, and to hear this dog being mistreated (i think so anyway) is so so sad. I want to offer to take him off her hands if she'd like, but now I am concerned that this poor little pup has been thru too much too soon and will be too confused if I offer to take him from her. He is 2 months old, I believe.. I am about to cry just typing this. Like I said in previous question we already have a 7 almost 8 month old pug

so, if the lady is ok with it, should we take the dog?

once again, this was not my pug to start with . Another lady at work was giving the pug away and this mean lady took him. Not mine, I wanted to take him, but at the time thought it would be bad for our pug we have now. But now that this mean lady has him, I wish I woulda taken him in. anywho, just wanted to make it clear

YES! Get that dog away from her!! If it were me, I'd make up something about how I just LOVED her dog and really wanted another one and I think I'd offer her $$ for it.

It sounds like this woman as WAY too much on her hands already. If the woman is ok with it, I would definately get him back! I cannot imagine that she thinks it ok for her to use a choke collar on a 2 month old Pug because it wont "listen" to her when it is time to potty. ANd the fact that she thinks it is funny that the Lab attacked the puppy is absolutley wrong. I understand they have to determine a "pecking" order, or Alpha dog situation it seems that she encourages this behavior or mis-behavior in her dog. I would definately tell her you miss him too bad and would like to take him back. If you can't find him, just take time and try to find him a better home.

If I was you and she said yes you could take it I would in a New York minute. No animal deserves abuse of any kind and at 2 months that pup will thrive very well and get past the early trauma of it's young life.... I'm Keeping my fingers crossed that the baby pug is rescued. I have 3 rescued dogs myself and they make the world a much better place for me. Good luck to you.

You could take the dog and then surrender the dog over to a local rescue group who would definitely be able to find it a better home. Pugs are sort after dogs and the group would do checks on the potential adopters to make sure they're suitable.

Get her address, call animal control, she is obviously a terrible pet owner and they need to be in homes that love them. In the meantime, rescue the pug! Good luck.
