trust me u dont want a teacup anything. teacup is a term used to describe runts in litters of puppies. or runts that r bred with runts, producing puppies that r very unhealthy and they dont live as long as they should and if u guys dont believe me then read this, i got it from wikipedia, i googled it and i found a lot of stuff
Most who are involved in dog breeding and judging argue that the whole concept of the "teacup" is nothing more than a marketing ploy to charge exorbitant prices for dogs that are frequently runts or that may have health problems due to dwarfing. Dogs that are exceedingly small, particularly those that are two pounds or less fully grown, often have shortened life spans and require special care.

First there is no such thing as a real "teacup" chihuahua. So-called "teacup" dogs are dogs bred down from the standard size and are often unhealthy and frail as a result. Chihuahuas are already pretty small and frail, so a teacup would be even more so. Any breeder who would breed teacups is irresponsible and not concerned about healthy dogs but making money.
And on that note, no purebred dog is cheap or free. Keeping dogs is also expensive - they need food, vet care and all sorts of other things that really add up. The cost of the dog is just your first expense.

Teacup chihuaha's are GOING to cost a lot of money. The rule is that the smaller the dog, the more it's going to cost.
You may want to look in local shelters.
Good grief--does NO ONE know what a tea cup dog is? That's just plain sad.
"The terms "teacup" or ("tea cup") and "tiny toy," have increasingly come to be used to describe adult dogs that are very small. The terms, however, are not used officially by any kennel club, and their use remains inaccurate and controversial. Since the terms are unofficial, there is no accepted standard of definition for the terms; thus, an eight-pound chihuahua (much larger than the maximum defined in the breed standard) can be described as a "teacup." The increasing frequency of use of the terms by laypersons has led some to believe that the terms are official, however, this has never been the case (see Chihuahua).

Yet, beyond opinions and controversy, "teacup" is a term aiming at describing, and widely understood to mean "smaller than toy dogs". These are sometimes also referred to as "tiny" dogs."

The word teacup is used instead of the word runt, because people think its a cute name.
BIG rip off! They usually have ALOT of health problems, or behavioral problems OR BOTH!!!
