Does anyone have real life experience with this? I've pretty much decided not to submit him to Chemo or Radiation. However I do want to give him the best life and diet possible in his current (healthy state). Any insight would be helpful this is a first for me.

Prescription Diet® Canine n/d® was uniquely formulated by veterinarians and researchers for the management of dogs with cancer who are undergoing radiation or chemotherapy and is the only food clinically proven to increase life span and improve the quality of life for dogs with cancer. I agree with you from what I have seen most dogs that go through Chemo and radiation don't survive that much longer and the months more that they survive are about equal to the time they were having those therapies done.

Hope I have helped a little.

I don't have the answer, but I wanted to say I am sooo sorry!!!!I had a Dobie that had Osteosarcoma(cancer), and I chose not to put him through radiation or chemo, just as you!! He did last about 8-9 months after diagnosis. Check the web for this type of cancer. Again I am so sorry and my prayers are with you and your dog!!!!

I have not had any experience with cancer in dogs yet but I have heard feeding a high protein, low carb diet like Innova Evo can help them.

I am so sorry. You seem to be making good decisions so far but always remember, this is you and your dog. Follow you gut and heart. Live with no regrets.
