Big items like keys, big bones, quarters etc... will not usually pass in the digestive system. I remeber a few years ago my cat ate a bead and NOTHING could pass his digestive system, he vomited all day long and almost died... the vet said we got there just in time. If you are lucky it WILL pass within the next day or two.... but make sure you are watching for signs in case it is not. Look for vomiting, dehydration, no eating, diahhreah etc... If these thinsg start to occur take him to the vet for an xray immediatly =) good luck

I am a fortune teller and I see your dog passing them through the next time he #2's. I'm not really a fortune teller but dogs will usually pass it out pretty quickly but it could get stuck if it doesn't pass in a few days take your dog to the vet. Hope you have some spare keys. Good luck!

The best thing is to take him to the vet!!! The pointed edges on a key can be very bad for his digestive system. It could poke holes in the stomach lining or get stuck. This will cost even more for treatment, not to mention that he will be suffering then too. They can take a xray at the vet and decide what the best action is. Good Luck

If it was a couple keys on a key ring, the keys could cause a stomach or intestine blockage in your dog. watch your dog carefully for signs of listlessness, or vomiting. If she passes the keys in the next day, your lucky. If she doesn't, you are going to have to go to the vet and get an x-ray to see where the keys are, and possibly to have them removed.

Depends on how big the keys were and how small your dog is. U should take him/her to the vet and get an X-ray they may have to do surgery to get them out. Not only if you need them but for the health of your dog

This could be quite serious.....watch for vomiting or straining, if any get to vet asap, by morning go to a vet, objects like these can get stuck and create a blockage....not good.
Im a vet nurse.....seen alot of dogs swallow alot of objects, unless quite small, they dont pass them, go to vet, get xray, go from there.

Sorry but I doubt that your dog will pass the keys. Take him to the vet . They will x-ray his stomach. and the vet will tell you what to do.

However long it takes you to get the operation done. Keys could do someserious damage to his insides, so please, for the sake of Fido, go to the vet.
