It was darker than normal but okay. She ate twice today, is in a good mood and playful. Should I take her to the vet or wait till morning. Can anything happen till then??

As long as she is drinking and eating and acting okay I would give it another day before you rush her to the vet.

Just keep an eye on her. You can also try taking her for a long walk to help stimulate a bowel movement.

If she acts uncomfortable and stops drinking water and eating, then you have something to worry about.

She should be ok, just wait it out for a day or two. My dog went for a day when she was a puppy too. I have a feeling she may go poopie later tonight...puppies are really good at doing sneaky things! Check under you bed that is where I found a little present from Amelia(my dog). ;)

If you're worried about constipation, drizzle a tablespoon of regular cooking oil over her dry food. The cooking oil will help with movement without the ordeal of medication.

My dogs get constipated every once in a while as a reaction to their allergy meds, and a little cooking oil always does the trick.

Peace hon.

its too soon to start worrying ,puppies are VERY irregular at times because there are so many underlying factors that play out when they go.just keep an eye on her, if shes constipated you will notice tightening in her tummy (its VERY much so in puppies) and she'll be UNhappy! good luck puppies are so much fun
