Show her that you're responsible. Do your chores without being asked, clean your room randomly. These are the things that win their respect. Save your money, and help pay for things. Keep some extra for vet visits... Ask her again, after showing her that you are responsible. Keep doing these things, and try other things. DO NOT BRIBE, though. That'll make her think... Not good.
Good luck! I hope you get a dog. A good breed is a Shiba Inu.... Hence my name! :)

couple things. first, your mom probably wants to know that you'll be responsible enough to care for a dog. start by showing her (if you need to) that you can be responsible with things such as schoolwork, money, etc. also try helping more around the house if that's been an issue between you and your mom.

once you've started doing all that, you should strongly consider writing your mom a letter explaining your feelings about why you'd like to have a dog, and what your plan is for taking care of the dog. the advantage of the letter is that your mom can read all your thoughts without interrupting or arguing with you. then, you can sit down with her and discuss the letter. i used to do stuff like this with my parents, and it actually works pretty well if you approach the situation in a mature, respectful manner.

There might be some good reasons that you can't have a dog right now.
It could be where you live won't allow for a dog.
Or the place where you live isn't big enough for a dog.
Or....she may not think that you are responsible enough to have a dog ...yet.
You really need to ask your mom for the reasons that you can't have a dog right now. And by really mature when she gives you the answers and that will help in the future, showing her that you are maturing.
Good luck and remember...

Dogs cost a lot to keep. And maybe your mum does not trust you enough that you will be responsible for the dog. Yes, I know dogs are irresistible creatures. But remember you have to feed it, walk it, groom it and bring it to the vet when it is sick. Can you do all these? If you think you can then convince your mum by doing your chores on a regular basis (because having a dog is a daily responsibility), being really good, and doing nice stuff for her. She will get the hint. Good luck!

Before you go bugging her, make a list of 10 good reasons you want a dog, if you cant think of any then you dont want one as much as you say you do... Then once you have a chat tell her everythign YOU will do to take care of it. Then be sure to listen to HER reasons she doesnt think it's a good idea. Hope this helps! dont be upset if she doesnt give in. You'll get over it sooner or later...

O yeah.... what worked for me is 3 months of showing her how responsible i can be... try to work out a deal with her...

The best thing to do is to show her you have responsiblity. Start with something small a fish, hamster something that will be low matience. Find out why she wont let you have one and see what you can do to get one. A little buttering up never hurt either, wash the dishes, take the trash out. Show her you will do anything to get a dog.

this might sound boring, but show her you are responsible by growing an exotic plant, aside of the advise above, they are basics! if the plant grows and has no problem, she'll know that you are responsible enough to take care of a dog and she might let you get one, also talk to her clearly and maturely about the reasons that make you wanna have one, explain her the plant situation and make sure your mom is not gonna be the one taking care of the animal, maybe that's what she's concerned about... hope it helps!

if she doesn't want you to have a dog than there is nothing that can convince her of it she is the mother and she decides what you can and can't have-
she may think that she will be the one ending up taking carwe of it- before you try to ask her again show her your independence by cleaning up around the house and doing what she tells you to do!!
