Actually not so funny...for the first time in 9 months, this morning she threw up..yellow...was told it was bile...and not to worry, she did not eat last night so she ate today twice now and all was fine. However, we made little mini carrot cakes today, and my silly sister ate one and left the paper on her lap. Puppy jumped up, and of course ate it!! Obviously she chewed it, and then swallowed. Must have been much small after chewing it... Is there any danger with this? The paper was tiny.. was the mini cupcake size. Should I take her to the vet? She seems fine, playing and all.

She has only thrown up once her entire life. This morning. and she ate her breakfast and her dinner, no problem.

your baby will be fine..smile..keep an eye on her stool...it will pass if it was that small...keep an eye on her appetite also and her drinking...if any of that changes call your vet..I would not give her anything over he counter... you would not believe the things that came up missing in my house when my 2 year old was a pup...lol..good luck...you have your hands full....have you started obedience class yet...it would probably be a good idea to start 'em now if you haven't yet...well good luck with your new addition....smile

EDIT: you will know she will be lethargic, wont eat, wont drink, wont pass stool, just keep an eye on her and watch your carrot cakes...they are smelly good to a pup...lol

Don't worry about it. My puppy has swallowed/chewed so many different things. Keep an eye on your pup and watch to see if she is acting strange. Watch for normal bowel movements. The paper will probably just pass. There digestive tracts are pretty resilient. I wouldn't even do the pepto unless your puppy is acting off and even then the pepto won't help the paper pass. Like a new mom trust your instincts. Puppies like babies are pretty tough.

My puppy also threw up bile a couple of times. Again keep an eye on her. It sounded like it cleared up.

If it happens again, take her to the vet. But if you feel she is fine, then just be a *bit* gentle with her for a few days. My pup survived eating(not swallowing) krazy glue. And she has eaten paper, like, every day. So I'm sure your pup will be okay! Good luck!

there;s no reason to freak, just make sure she doesn't have acces to papers or little things she can swallow in the future, if she has problems with depositions take her to the vet, about the bile talk to your vet about it and if he suspects acid reflux or something he'll prescribe proper medication, also make sure she has all her shots and she has no parasites, everything should be ok, puppies tend to throw up sometimes and eat everything they can, i lost bills, receipts and all kinds of little stuff thanks to my puppies, also depends on the breed... also if you changed her food brand lately she can have diarrhea or vomit, it's normal, but the vet that has always treated her will know what is best for her DO NOT GIVE HER ANY HUMAN MEDICINE!!!! take her to the vet or contact me for any further questions

your puppy will be fine, just make sure that she does not get ahold of any other non food items. she probaly through up because she didn't eat. make sure that a puppy gets feed at least 3 times a day. It is actually better for a pup to eat more small meals then one or two large ones.

It's just waxed paper, you'll likely find it in the yard tomorrow sometime.

She should be just fine, but if she should happen to throw up again then give her 1/2 teaspoon of pepto every half hour for three doses. then every two to three hours. The pepto won't hurt her it will make her feel better faster. I give it to my toy poodle all the time when she gets into human food.
